Day One Hundred Nineteen: Looking Down | From Above | Downward | Notice
I always wonder how these two see each other. Do they see the similarities that others see? For me - they are black and white different. When they were babies, we would ask Blake what his name was and he would tell us it was Gavin. Of course, that was giggle worthy. They only call each other brother. I can count on one hand the number of times I have heard them call each other by name. In fact, it's weird for me to hear them do so... I have always said that I am envious of these two. Built in best friends for life! Gavin was the first born 'baby A' - he is my go getter - he is my not-so-shy guy. Blake is 'baby B' and he is the sort who takes his time and waits to see what his brother is going to do first. Just this year they have really started to show us different sides to who they are becoming... Gavin is our guitarist and Blake loved being in chess club. It makes things busy but so much fun! Do they see their brother as an extension of who they are ~ or just someone they are connected to on such a deep and profound level which is something I don't think they would understand at this age anyway... No matter what, it's amazing to experience as their mother and I can't wait to see how they change as the years go on!

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
