Day Three Hundred Sixty Six: Sparkle | Glitter | Shine | Shimmer
Celebrate Your Sparkle This is it ~ the very last photo for this year's photo-a-day challenge! I made it (for the second time). There's no stopping now! When I told my kids this morning that I am taking the last photo for this year they all shockingly said, "You're done?!" to which my reply was, "NOT A CHANCE!!" My days aren't complete if I don't take a photo to document my life. I'm so grateful for the community that I am a part of. I have become friends with these people. I have gotten to know these people through their images and their words. It's a family who supports each other, encourages each other, and celebrates with each other, we recognize each other’s uniqueness (like snowflakes that fall from the sky) and we all shine and shimmer in our own way. We are celebrating today! We have done another year!!

Day Three Hundred Sixty Five: Food Fun | Play | Food Art | Entertainment
Play With Your Food All three of my kids received these for Christmas.. Do you have the guts to play?? My family did play this on Christmas day and I have to tell you - that was entertaining for sure! Here are you flavors: Spoiled Milk or Coconut ~ Dead fish or Strawberry Banana Smoothie ~ Rotten egg or Buttered Popcorn ~ Toothpaste or Berry Blue ~ Barf or Peach ~ Canned Dog Food or Chocolate Pudding ~ Booger or Juicy Pear ~ Moldy Cheese or Caramel Corn ~ Stinky Socks or Tutti-Fruitti ~ Lawn Clippings or Lime... EEK! I am not brave enough to try... There is NO way to tell them apart. Talk about playing with food! LOL! Day Three Hundred Sixty Four: Nature | Landscape | Environment | Mother Nature
A Single Interesting Subject My babies and I spent the day at the water park today! We had so much fun and I am so glad I was able to do this with them. The only down side was that daddy wasn't with us because he was at work. The part I enjoyed the most was the hot tub. The kids are old enough to run free at the park so I was able to relax and keep an eye on them from afar. What's cool about this hot tub is that half of it is outside. So, in the 27 degree weather we had it was wonderful to sit in the warm water and watch the steam floating away in the wind. Our hair would freeze but we were nice and toasty. It was nice to look out the chain-link fence and see the snow on the ground and the trees. Nature is beautiful - no matter what season we are in - whether the landscape is foliage or buildings - Mother Nature sure does spoil us with beauty!
Day Three Hundred Sixty Two: Bake | Cook | Prep | Treats
My daughter got an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas and she was anxious to make a treat to share with us. She cooked a delicious red velvet and strawberry cake. It was layered with two different flavors of frosting and we all got a yummy bit of its deliciousness! She was thrilled to share her very own ~ first ever ~ cooked all by herself ~ creation! It was definitely baked with love.
Day Three Hundred Fifty Eight: Before and After | SOOC | Edited | Filters
This squirrel gave us lots of entertainment today. We had fun watching him and his friend out our windows chasing each other and wrestling - it's amazing how they don't fall out of trees! I do like editing my photos. I have always been fascinated with all the hard work that was put into images in darkrooms when photographers worked with film. I am not in the generation that worked with many film cameras (and even when I did, I would just drop them off and someone else would print them for me). I would love to learn darkroom processing but I do know I am pretty lucky with this digital age for many reasons - one big one is how easy it is to delete the bad, retake the good, and edit a photo into a work of art. It's a fun time to be a photographer in any form of the word! Day Three Hundred Fifty Seven: Two Angles | From Above | Look Up | Eye Level
It's been our tradition each year, when we go to Camp Shamineau for their free Christmas event, to make our very own Christmas wreath. I love seeing how different they turn out each year. |

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
