Day Two Hundred Forty Four: Dramatic | Startling | Impressive | Breathtaking
I think any subject would fall within today's prompt because that's just how God's creation works.

Day Two Hundred Forty Three: My Town | City | Home | Surroundings
You see that... That's my town way down there just about where the trees meet the sky. I took this photo before work (I actually went the opposite way I needed to capture this). I am mid way down a huge hill that, as you drive over the top of the hill, gives you the most amazing view. I love how our little town (population 470) is hidden and tucked into those mature and lush trees. We are perfectly content right where we are. Day Two Hundred Forty Two: Big Sky | Above | Vast | Clouds
I missed my morning walk this morning due to a thunderstorm. The plus side of missing my walk was that I was able to lay in bed and listen to the storm for a bit which I absolutely love to do. Once I started work for the day I was watching as the storm was moving away from the area and I had to jump in my truck to capture this beautiful sunrise reflecting on the clouds. Day Two Hundred Forty One: A Landscape | View | Scenery | Outlook
This is the view of our property from the very back corner of our yard. I love the protection of our tall trees. This little forest of ours keeps us nicely shaded in the summer heat. We have debated on clearing some of the trees out to make more of a grassy yard (our grass just doesn't grow well under these pines) but I can't bring myself to do so... "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is today." ~Chinese Proverb Day Two Hundred Forty: In The Shade | Covered | Shadow | Coolness
We were under a constant cloud cover today so finding the shade outside wasn't going to happen. It wasn't until this evening as I was watching a movie with my munchkins did I notice our cat enjoying the coolness of the open window. He lives a very cushy and covered life... Always in the shade of our home. We sure do enjoy having him as a part of our family! Day Two Hundred Thirty Nine: Centered | Join | Focus | Attract
I love watching these little humming birds. I enjoyed a show of 3 or 4 of them flying like crazy around our feeder. I think they were trying to keep other little ones from getting any of the sweet nectar but, in turn, no one got any because they kept dive bombing each other. This little guy sat on a branch for quite some time watching the others - I think he was waiting for a clear shot to actually stop of a quick drink! I am not sure if he succeeded because when he flew off - he disappeared! Day Two Hundred Thirty Eight: Just Before Dawn | Early | First Light | Quiet
I had a hunch that today's prompt would work out perfectly for me. I get up early every weekday to walk with my neighbor and we have seen bunnies all summer! Today I wasn't disappointed - this little guy sat there long enough for me to creep a little closer to capture this scene. Day Two Hundred Thirty Seven: Morning Light | Morning | Sunrise | Light
"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living." ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald Day Two Hundred Thirty Six: Spotlight | Centre Stage | Stand Out | Shine
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Profound words from Ralph Waldo Emerson I think this is something all of us photographers can relate to - our own creativity, skill, equipment. No two are alike and yet we live to leave a trail with our work. We all shine at it too!

Danette Badger
This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
