Day Ninety-Four: In My Hands | Holding | Perspective | Reach Out
Some days these hands feel a lot of weight. Some days these hands do their best to stay afloat. Some days the stressors of being a wife and mother really take their toll. But these hands are so important. They reach out to hold the four most important people in my life: My husband and three children. They comfort, scold, caress, love, work, play, rejoice, and pray on any given day - taking in stride what this life throws my way. These hands will age and they will become unrecognizable even to me one day in the future – then, I'll look back on all the memories in my life and I will know that these hands made a difference - they continued to float - to stay above the water’s ever ebb and flow... They will make a difference in at least the lives of my kids and my husband and those hard days will just fade into the darkness. This life is worth it. The hard days are worth it. I am happy to be experiencing it all.

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
