Day One Hundred Thirty: Fastened | Closed | Locked | Connected
Man was I so uninspired today! I wracked my brain and looked and looked for something that would stand out for me with the color of the week (denim blue) and nothing was coming to me. It wasn't until I went into my garage this evening after baseball practice to get my camera from my truck that I looked up and saw these happy people who sit on a couple of shelves. These used to live in Arizona at my grandparent's house where they decorated the wall that was a partition between the neighbor's yard. They made their way all the way to MN when my grandparents passed in 2011 and they have happily sat on those shelves until tonight when I brought them outside to capture this photo. I love how their accessories are fastened to their bodies. And their legs just nicely dangle down as they sit comfortably on any ledge they may be put on. I don't think I'll ever part with these.

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
