Day Two Hundred Fifty Four: Sunrise | Dawn | Daybreak | First Light
The early bird gets the worm! However, in our case, this is an evening photo... I was just not willing to get up early this morning - well, I definitely would have but my body was NOT willing. I had quite a headache this morning. That didn't stop me from having a super filled day cleaning the house and painting furniture (my kitchen table and chairs ~ EEK)! When putting away my big project today, I kept hearing all this clicking noise up in the trees and found this Downy Woodpecker working diligently to find his evening meal. I did like the golden light as the sun set today.

Day Two Hundred Fifty Three: Where I Stand | Step Back | Look Down | Perspective
It's a different sort of school year for me. Instead of driving my babies to school each day - this year, since all three munchkins are in grade school now, we decided to have our munchkins get picked up by the bus. I am still torn about this decision - just because I have always brought them to school and always picked them up. However, we are very close to the school so it's a very short bus ride, and now that we have to say goodbye at the front door, I can stand outside with them and watch them go on their way to start their day. That's where I stand today - letting my babies go and grow one day at a time.
Day Two Hundred Fifty:
First Day of School | 4th Grade | 4th Grade | Kindergarten A Mother's 1st Day of School Prayer I wonder what you're doing now, and if everyone is treating you kind. I hope there is a special person, a nice friend that you can find. I wonder if the teacher knows just how special you are to me. And if the brightness of your heart is something they can see. I wonder if you are thinking of me, and if you need a hug. I already miss the sound of your voice and how you give my leg a tug. I wonder if you could possibly understand how hard it is for me to let you grow. On this day know that my heart breaks ~ for this is the first step in letting you go.
Day Two Hundred Forty Seven:
Bookends | Symmetry | Mirrored | Duplicate Let me tell you, sleeping with this little thing wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world due to little elbows and feet ~ but waking up next to a smiley baby ~ pretty priceless! She is my duplicate. Daddy says all the time how similar she is to me. I am absolutely ok with that! She's so pretty that it's quite a compliment to me. Day Two Hundred Forty Six:
Foreground | Front | Center | Focus We rode our wheelers to my parents tonight to spend the night in their new-to-them RV. It's going to be a camping in grandma and grandpa's backyard sort of night and my munchkins are so excited! Great way to start our holiday weekend. Day Two Hundred Forty Five: Happy | Joyful | Pleasant | Content
It's opportunities like this that make ME happy, joyful, and content. I was hired to take graduation photos of a beautiful young lady tonight and she works at a zoo. So, I was lucky enough to go there and capture her with giraffes and camels and tortoises and this owl. We had so much fun! I took some pretty ones of this majestic bird while we were visiting and I thought this one of Henry (the owl) was awesome! He sure looks pleasant and content (if not a bit crabby) but I did want to use this as my photo today, not only because he is just gorgeous, but because I wanted to remember the graduation session I did with a special girl who I have the pleasure of knowing because we go to church together. |

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
