Winter Solstice ~ MACRO MONDAY ~ 356:2020
We had the most beautiful snowfall today! I was pleasantly surprised to see an almost perfect snowflake captured just below the branch on this photo! Psalms 74:17 You set all the boundaries of the earth; You made summer and winter.

International Human Solidarity Day ~ 355:2020
I am currently part of a labor pool for my place of work... today, I was called to help at our Manor which is an assisted living apartment building. I was given a large array of tasks (from filling water glasses for lunch and dinner ~ to cleaning out an empty apartment that had been vacated from a traveling nurse ~ and lots of other things in between). It’s places like this that really amplify what solidarity looks like. These places have been impacted the most during this pandemic and loved ones just aren’t able to come visit. The empty chapel room spoke the loudest to me on this Sunday... Psalms 102:7 I stay awake; I am like a solitary bird on a roof. Hard Candy Day ~ 354:2020
We made cookies today ~ which totally counts for the prompt as far as I’m concerned. ☺️ My hubby helped with rolling the dough and cutting out the shapes. Then, my brother and his family came over so my sister-in-law, niece, Eve and I decorated them. Job 40:10 Adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, and clothe yourself with honor and glory. Arabic Language Day ~ 353:2020
“Add some font to your photo today.” One of my absolute favorite Christmas-y songs is “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” I love the story it tells and it always makes me smile. Today, we had a lovely snowfall ~ the perfect sort of day to say “baby, it’s cold outside,” and stay in together! Even though we weren’t together because of work... 🥺 Revelation 3:15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. Wright Brothers Day ~ 352:2020
Oh to fly away ~ like the Wright Brothers helped to make possible for us! Proverbs 23:5 As soon as your eyes fly to it, it disappears, for it makes wings for itself and flies like an eagle to the sky. Chocolate Covered Anything Day ~ 351:2020
I love white chocolate covered pretzels! One of my favorite treats at Christmas time and my hubby knows too because he usually buys a bag for me each year. Matthew 10:26 Therefore, don’t be afraid of them, since there is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered and nothing hidden that won’t be made known. Wear Your Pearls Day ~ PICTURE YOUR DAY ~ 350:2020
No real pearls for me today so instead I am using the Merry Christmas banner I made for our window... little circles on a string. ☺️ Matthew 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. Prompt Free ~ 349:2020
Rudolf is ready to pull the sleigh!! Countdown to Christmas is 11 days! (My brother made this reindeer for me ~ he is so talented)! Psalms 93:1 The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. Cocoa Day ~ 348:2020
Blake made this yummy treat for himself today. He adds milk, cool whip, sprinkles, and a candy cane to stir it all together! It was gone in less than 10 minutes! Isaiah 9:2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Gingerbread House Day ~ 347:2020
No gingerbread houses for us today... instead we are enjoying every moment we can outside with this crazy warm weather. The five of us went off our normal walking path this morning and found some leftovers of little critters getting supplies for their own houses. Psalms 78:25 People ate the bread of angels. He sent them an abundant supply of food. |
Danette BadgerThis is the 6th year I have taken on this photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/19 I have taken 2,117 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 366 for this year! Starting 1/1/20 I am no longer doing the project with Capture Your 365 as that group has ended as of 12/31/19 (after 8 years and 9 months of everyday photography). There were four lovely ladies who decided to keep this community alive for us all and created 365 Picture Today and they have decided to use the National Day Calendar for our prompts this year which should be so much fun! It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Archives
