Mason Jar Day ~ 335:2020
We have the BEST neighbors! Last Christmas our friends down the road left us this jar (which was full of cookies) and this heartfelt gift that speaks volumes on how we feel about them too. She calls this art unicorn spit. 😁 Jeremiah 48:12 Therefore look, the days are coming — this is the Lord’s declaration — when I will send those to him, who will pour him out. They will empty his containers and smash his jars.

Electronic Greetings Day ~ Phone ~ 334:2020
My boys had me add Google Hangouts on my phone and message me throughout their day. I especially loved this when they were actually in school because it allowed us to keep in touch so nicely. On October 20 they moved to hybrid learning where they went to school Monday and Tuesday with distance learning for the rest of the week. Then on November 16th, they had to start 100% distance learning. This is not something they enjoy at all and I feel so badly for them! Still, they message me their little notes of “how are you mom” and “I love you mom” even though they are right in the basement while I’m upstairs doing my own work. These little notes will be treasured FOREVER! (Not to mention the priceless moments that each of them come upstairs a billion times to give a hug, a hello, a “I love you” before getting back to class again. Luke 1:44 For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me! Aura Awareness Day ~ 333:2020
I suppose I could identify with any mixture of these colors anytime of the month, week, or even day depending on how life is going... Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Prompt Free Day ~ 332:2020
I finally got to cash in one half of the pampering that my hubby planned for my birthday last week. New hair today and a massage coming up! I’m so lucky! Ruth 3:1 Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, shouldn’t I find security for you, so that you will be taken care of? Thanksgiving Day ~ 331:2020
These four people are the most precious people on my world. It’s just the five of us today ~ the first time in my entire life that I am not with a parent for thanksgiving ~ either my hubby’s family or mine. Still, we are thankful and we had a great time making dinner together. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Blasé Day ~ 330:2020
Amy gave us this direction for today: “The definition of Blasé is being uninterested because of frequent exposure or indulgence. As 365 photographers many of us have experienced blasé photo days along the way. For today, try to take a photo of something that excited you when you first started your photography journey.” So that’s what I did... I LOVE landscape photography! However, it’s not something I find myself doing much of. Instead, my subjects are typically my family (which are much better subjects by far!) ~ but still, my heart skips a beat when I am lucky enough to capture views like this one! Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Sardines Day ~ 329:2020
Sardines make me think of right, cramped, squished spaces. I even catch myself saying things like “squished like a pack of sardines,” especially when my munchkins squeeze in tight next to me. ☺️ Today’s photo came as a surprise actually. Gavin was scheduled for December 8th to get his braces off but I got an unexpected call from the orthodontist letting us know they had a cancellation for this afternoon so I made sure we could make it work for him! Seeing his before photos from May 22, 2018 really does show how crammed, jammed, and squished together his little teeth were! I am so grateful we were able to do this for him! 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit. Espresso Day ~ Color Day - Black and White ~ 328:2020
No espresso for me ~ instead I give you a cute, cuddly cat all cozy by my feet as I work the day away... he makes me sleepy too! Maybe I should try this espresso drink?! Giggle! Galatians 5:16 I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Relish Day (Cranberry ~ Off Prompt) ~ 327:2020
I am just relishing in the day ~ no cranberries necessary. 😁 It’s my hubby’s 40th birthday and it breaks my heart that we can’t celebrate like we would want to. Instead, we are choosing to enjoy the day together with our babies and went on a 2 hour wheeler ride which is absolutely something we all relish. I will just plan on a big blowout party this spring! 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends... Red Mitten Day ~ 326:2020
National Red Mitten Day encourages Canadians to wear their Red Mittens in support for Canadian athletes! Red mittens represent the pride, generosity, and excellence of every Canadian. Luckily enough, my daughter has red mittens and was thrilled to let me capture this today in honor of all my Canadian friends! Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. |
Danette BadgerThis is the 6th year I have taken on this photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/19 I have taken 2,117 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 366 for this year! Starting 1/1/20 I am no longer doing the project with Capture Your 365 as that group has ended as of 12/31/19 (after 8 years and 9 months of everyday photography). There were four lovely ladies who decided to keep this community alive for us all and created 365 Picture Today and they have decided to use the National Day Calendar for our prompts this year which should be so much fun! It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Archives
