Matchmaker Day ~ 244:2020
Today we were asked to find hearts in nature instead of playing matchmaker... I found mine right away this morning when stepping out the front door for my walk with Luna. We had a lovely rain shower last night and unfortunately my rose petals fell off their branches but there was this one, laying alone, looking so perfectly heart shaped. Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Beach Day ~ 243:2020
My opportunity for a water outing was just to the end our road ~ at one of my favorite relaxing spots ~ the creek. This is the very end of the creek that flows from Rice lake to the Crow Wing River (about a 10 mile stream). The pile of rocks form a bit of a dam and the flowing water is such a peaceful sound. Acts 21:5 When it was time to leave, we left and continued on our way. All of them, including wives and children, accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray. According to Hoyle Day ~ Phone ~ 242:2020
Today's prompt encourages individuals to honor the rules and regulations in particular situations according to a man named Edmond Hoyle ~ an Englishman who was thought to be the first technical writer on card games. We didn't have a chance for a card game today but Eve and I got in a nice long wheeler ride while the boys went shooting. And as far as encouraging rules and regulations goes ~ who says you can't wear flower print pants with a plaid sweater and a Harley Davidson tank top all at the same time? Not to mention the socks that are pulled up over the pants with teal tennis shoes! Love her style! Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Cherry Turnover Day ~ 241:2020
My hubby ran to the store... I realized I needed SOMETHING cherry today so he came home with a box of mini cherry pies. I couldn't find anything that looked like a cherry in these little things but I suppose it had a cherry flavor... Giggle! Job 22:26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. Just Because Day ~ 240:2020
We had an “oh shoot” moment when we realized that school starts in 12 days! As of today, our district is planning on a completely normal start to the school year ~ well, besides the mask thing... I think I put off school shopping so long because I really didn’t expect to send mine back in a full-time way. We decided that they deserved to make the decision for themselves and all three want to be in class. So, I logged off this morning and we spent the day shopping for their supplies. Most of which I doubt will be used this year. We had so much fun today and I loved showering them with all this fun stuff that they are so excited about ~ just because! I am doing my best to help them experience this upcoming year as normally as possible. John 4:42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” Dog Day ~ 239:2020
Luna and I had our walk with the kids after a morning rain storm today. I wanted to get my “4 animals” all together but Luna wasn’t willing to slow down long enough to get a nice photo with her brothers and sister. Eve was hanging back a bit and asked me to turn around and said “take a photo of this!” So I did and then played with blurring out the background which made her perfect wet paw print stand out like it’s 3D! I really like how this looks! Exodus 11:7 But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any person or animal.’ Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel. Secondhand Wardrobe Day ~ 238:2020
I am all about secondhand clothing! Especially when I get to my hubby’s flannels before he does! 1 Timothy 6:8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. International Strange Music Day ~ 237:2020
Recorders are incredible little instruments ~ not necessarily strange ~ but I will say they don’t help keep a mother’s sanity, especially when a little girl learned a total of 9 songs in a matter of a few weeks back in April/May when they did distance learning. They did what was called Recorder Karate and earned each belt rank as they progressed through the songs. My daughter was the ONLY 3rd grader to get through the entire ranks ~ white through black ~ which I was able to add to her recorder as a reminder of all the hard work she put in to learn them. So proud! Amos 6:5 You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments. Ride the Wind Day COLOR ~ BLUE ~ 236:2020
17 years ago I lived through a nightmare. My fiancé and I were in a motorcycle accident that took his life in an extremely horrific way. An accident that I walked away from with nothing more than a few scratches on my left foot. An accident that I walked away from with a crushed heart, PTSD, bouts of depression, debilitating flashbacks and continuous nightmares. It’s only been by my faith in God, my incredible husband, my family and my friends that I can say I am ok. Still, some days I am NOT ok and yet I know that’s ok too. When Jason died, we were surrounded by monarch butterflies everywhere. Shortly after Jason was laid to rest I found this beautiful butterfly and had to have it (just a bit of blue on the wings and in the sky for today’s prompt). To me, seeing any butterfly is a sign that Jason is near and so many of us feel it when we get a visit from these beautiful creatures. It’s incredible because when I am with certain friends a butterfly always visits us ~ and we always say hello. Jason is riding the wind ~ he is loved and talked about and remembered always! 2 Samuel 22:11 He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind. Be An Angel Day ~ 235:2020
Because sometimes being angel means sending prayers from a distance... Luke 22:43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. |
Danette BadgerThis is the 6th year I have taken on this photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/19 I have taken 2,117 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 366 for this year! Starting 1/1/20 I am no longer doing the project with Capture Your 365 as that group has ended as of 12/31/19 (after 8 years and 9 months of everyday photography). There were four lovely ladies who decided to keep this community alive for us all and created 365 Picture Today and they have decided to use the National Day Calendar for our prompts this year which should be so much fun! It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Archives
