Leap Year Day ~ 060:2020
On 2/29/16, our last leap year, I was pleasantly surprised to find a little family of otters playing in the frozen water of Crow Wing river. Today for leap year I was again blessed by finding a group of stunning swans in the frigid cold on the ice and in the open water. It appears that this is the spot to be on these extra days we are given every 4 years! I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings! Job 37:10 Ice is formed by the breath of God, and watery expanses are frozen.

Floral Design Day ~ 059:2020
I had these flowers out from Mardi Gras Day! Luna is always being her curious self so this one is the winner today even if the lighting isn’t the best because she just gives the flowers an extra little flare!! Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains forever. Retro Day ~ 058:2020
I was gifted these amazing retro cameras from my best friend whose dad does auctions. These are extremely special to me because she is moving to Florida in March. I will miss her and her family so much! These beautiful cameras are displayed in my office and I always get the most awesome compliments on the collection. To which I give Cindy all the credit. Oh if we were able to see the photos these cameras have taken!! Makes me think of all the happy memories I have shared with Cindy and the memories we will make in years to come. Psalms 77:5 I consider days of old, years long past. Tell A Fairy Tale Day ~ 057:2020
My daughter got a magic fairy door for Christmas a few years ago. Her magic fairy goes into her magic doorway and flies back to deliver notes to Evette when she is away at school or while she is sleeping. This cute little fairy happens to be named Luna - which is NOT why we named our dog Luna who is named after Luna Lovegood from Happy Potter. Anyway, Eve has kept every little note she receives, and it warms my heart so much! (She has asked me many times about the validity of this little fairy, but I always play dumb and insist that Luna (the fairy) is, in fact, the one who leaves these little notes of love. Galatians 6:9 So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. Mardi Gras ~ 056:2020
I had some time to play today! There are two photos here that I used Enlight app to fuse together. It’s one I will definitely have to play with some more! Psalms 68:3 But the righteous are glad; they rejoice before God and celebrate with joy. Tortilla Chip Day ~ 055:2020
I am cheating just a little bit because I took this last night when I was out for dinner with my dear friends Amy and Kristina at Poncho and Lefty’s. It was such a needed time for us to catch up! Job 42:11 All his brothers, sisters, and former acquaintances came to his house and dined with him in his house. They sympathized with him and comforted him concerning all the adversity the Lord had brought on him... Off Prompt ~ 054:2020
Blake bought this LEGO chess set yesterday and this morning sat right down to put it together. It has 1,450 pieces and took him about 3 hours straight to complete. After he was done, we played a game (of which I didn’t do so bad considering I haven’t played in years and Blake has been a part of chess club at school for the last 4 years ~ so I’m pretty proud of that fact)! The pieces tuck nicely in the platform and the platform splits into two halves which stack to save more space when a game isn’t being played. Proverbs 20:18 Finalize plans with counsel, and wage war with sound guidance. Nickelodeon Universe Day ~ 053:2020
We finally made it! When we tried this three weekends ago, my truck broke down and we had the most awful time getting it back in running order. So, we attempted the trip again today and had a blast! Truly was the best day with my family! Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible. Care Givers Day ~ 052:2020
Oh what we would do without this man?!? He cares for us all so much ~ even providing a simple piggyback ride for a little girl in her dance shoes so she doesn’t ruin them in the snow. She had a quick dance show tonight during halftime at a basketball game. Job 10:12 You gave me life and faithful love, and Your care has guarded my life. Love Your Pet Day ~ 051:2020
It was a cuddle-Gavin-before-he-left-for-school-this-morning day. Ecclesiastes 9:4 But there is hope for whoever is joined with all the living, since a live dog is better than a dead lion. |
Danette BadgerThis is the 6th year I have taken on this photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/19 I have taken 2,117 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 366 for this year! Starting 1/1/20 I am no longer doing the project with Capture Your 365 as that group has ended as of 12/31/19 (after 8 years and 9 months of everyday photography). There were four lovely ladies who decided to keep this community alive for us all and created 365 Picture Today and they have decided to use the National Day Calendar for our prompts this year which should be so much fun! It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Archives
