Crayon Day ~ 091:2020
It was easy to find all kinds of crayons lying around since we just had to clean out the kids classrooms. May we never get too old to color (or play around with photography props like my little crystal ball)! Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men...

Take a walk in the Park Day ~ 090:2020
This is as close to a park as I could get today. But luckily enough for me, this road is private and no one ever comes down this way. Luna and I were able to come out for a bit today while the kids were doing their schoolwork. I had to share my laptop because it’s the only thing we have with a webcam to allow Eve to see her teacher and classmates for a story together. Micah 4:5 Though all the peoples each walk in the name of their gods, we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever. Mom and Pop Business Owners Day ~ Phone ~ 089:2020
DeWitt Marital Arts has been in business since 1993. At the time they were called Brainerd Tae Kwon Do and my husband, along with his dad and brother, all participated in training and received their first degree black belts in 1996. Fast forward to 2016, a chance meeting with Master DeWitt at his place of work, and a personal invitation to bring our boys to give it a try ~ and we did! The boys joined in August 2016, my daughter joined in February 2017, and my husband (after 21 years)! decided to join again in March 2017! I love knowing that this is something my children can share with their dad. I have been blessed to not only be a part of this incredible school as a wife to a second degree black belt, two red belts, and a brown belt, but I have also been able to provide my own skills by designing and maintaining their business website. This quarantine has meant that the doors to the dojang are closed for now but in the meantime, Master DeWitt has decided to create video catalogs for each rank that they can practice with to keep on top of their material. This last week has been a whirlwind for me getting videos uploaded to the site, getting students logged into the site, and making sure everything is correct and accurate to the best of my ability. It means countless hours of behind the scene work but for me, this is so worth it! DeWitt Martial Arts has poured so much into the four most important people in my life, it’s the least I can do. Especially during this time of uncertainty for us all! Galatians 6:6 The one who is taught the message must share all his good things with the teacher. Weed Day ~ 088:2020
I noticed this dried up little thing from a plant that was on my deck last summer. Now, it lies in wait for me to remove this old, yet loved, little plant and replace it with something new when the weather is finally warm enough. Proverbs 24:31 Thistles had come up everywhere, weeds covered the ground, and the stone wall was ruined. Off Prompt ~ Bird’s Eye View ~ 087:2020
The five of us decided to bring Luna for a walk/run while we rode our bikes. After discovering what a BEAUTIFUL day it was, we decided to keep going after Luna was done. We rode a total of 7.5 miles today and man did I miss my bike! Our conversation was incredible and the roads were empty. It was perfect!!! Ecclesiastes 3:12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life. Spinach Day ~ 086:2020
You can usually find spinach in my fridge because it’s used in a favorite snack of mine. Naan bread, olive oil, cumin, turmeric, spinach, fresh mushrooms, and mozzarella. Makes the most delicious little personal pizzas and I love them! Proverbs 15:17 Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened ox with hatred. Off Prompt ~ Technology Saves the Day ~ 085:2020
During situations like this technology is an incredible thing! My daughter is playing a board game with her cousin via FaceTime!! It was fun to hear them as I was working in the next room. Philippians 2:4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Off Prompt ~ New Paint Day ~ 084:2020
Evette has been patiently waiting for a good time for us to paint her room with her favorite colors. This quarantine seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. This took us two days and a lot of work but she stayed by my side the whole time helping. Doesn't she have amazing taste? Is it wrong to be jealous ~ I mean I really want to trade rooms with her! 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. Puppy Day ~ Brown ~ 083:2020
I love my sweet girl Luna - she has just a small amount of brown on her pretty little self. Mark 7:28 But she replied to Him, "Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." Goof Off Day ~ 082:2020
Well because grandma’s 90 birthday was cancelled for today, that gave us the opportunity to go back and visit one more time with my oldest friend and her hubby, daughter, and mom before they move to Florida this week. I can always count on this family to get goofy with us! It was the teenage boys who weren’t as willing to be goofy for the camera! Giggle! And to my dearest Shimek family (and mom), in sweet Sawyer’s singsong voice, “I lava you!!” John 15:11 I have spoken these things to you so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. |
Danette BadgerThis is the 6th year I have taken on this photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/19 I have taken 2,117 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 366 for this year! Starting 1/1/20 I am no longer doing the project with Capture Your 365 as that group has ended as of 12/31/19 (after 8 years and 9 months of everyday photography). There were four lovely ladies who decided to keep this community alive for us all and created 365 Picture Today and they have decided to use the National Day Calendar for our prompts this year which should be so much fun! It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings! Archives
