334/365 ~ The Journey | What Got You Here | Your Goal | Your Passion
My love of photography started when I was a child though I never took the time to LEARN photography until I wanted to make my scrapbooks photos better. As my personal photos got better my family started asking me to take photos of them, which turned into friends asking me to take their photos, which turned into friends of friends asking me, and has grown even more with my own business: Genuine, Beautiful, & Everlasting Photography. I have been entrusted with everything from newborn sessions all the way to weddings! AND, my old middle/high school has hired me for the second year in a row to take their formal basketball portraits! I figure that this journey of mine is mostly just me putting one foot in front of the other. The path before me is a blank canvas and I can't wait to see how God continues to open doors for me in this passion of mine!

333/365 ~ Where I Stand | Autumn Colors | Cute Shoes | Relax
Eve and I working on dishes. We are finally down to the last load of dishes from our Thanksgiving dinner. I am wearing my comfy slippers that I think fit in the Autumn Colors palette but I loved the socks Eve is wearing ~ her’s remind me of Christmas with the festive candy colors all over. So grateful my kids help me out like they do! 332/365 ~ Deliciousness | Mouth Watering | Scrumptious | Enough to Share
We fit 11 people around our kitchen table today! My first Thanksgiving that I hosted. Granted, I only provided the turkey (which turned out AWESOME by the way) and green bean casserole. Everyone else brought the other staples necessary for our delicious meal and we were all pleasantly filled up! We did have a bit of a casualty this morning when Gavin dropped our one and only pumpkin pie... but, my sister-in-law called her sister (Jenni) who so kindly stopped at an open grocery store for us all and saved the day! What a thing to be thankful for!! 331/365 ~ Currently Loving | Equipment | Embellishments | Handiwork
We finally got some snow!! I have been waiting for this day! Anyway, I made this wreath on my birthday a couple weeks ago with my daughter (my mom made one too) and I absolutely love how the snow gathered on the branches a bit which is totally adding some lovely embellishment to my handiwork! I also loved how our front porch light highlighted the branches this morning too. I am pretty proud of this! 330/365 ~ Evening Walk | River | Reflection | Sky
I am by a river here although you can't see it... it's already froze but I am still waiting for a good amount of snow! We are supposed to get 1-3 inches tonight ~ not near enough in my book but at least it will give us a nice blanket of white to wake up to (hopefully). It's just not feeling like the holiday season without snow... 329/365 ~ Spirit of Giving | From the Heart | Handmade | Uniquely Me
What a perfect prompt for me today! I make 6 handmade calendars every Christmas. I start with plain white heavyweight paper, punch holes in those pages and use book rings to create the base of the calendars. I decorate and brighten them up with fun scrapbook papers and stickers. Then, I take the time to go back in my own photo archives and create fun collages to add to each month. I am pretty particular about how the photos work too... For example, in the month of November 2020, we’ll see photos from November 2019. Kinda keeps it fun and fresh! Each family I gift this to always express their complete and total gratitude for them. They even help me out by randomly sending me photos throughout the year with requests of “please add to our calendar.” I always love when they do that too ~ makes it easier for me! (On a more somber note, this project is one that I usually do at Camp Shamineau. I am wearing one of my shirts to share that sentiment. March of this year was the last time that camp had their Scrap and Stamp weekend and it really has effected my ambition to complete these... I love giving them but there was also an incredible piece to the project of sharing the time with great friends doing similar projects and scrapbooking... so doing this project alone just isn’t as fun and I am extremely behind! They will be done but I am finding that I really have to force myself to focus on the project this year)... 328/365 ~ About Me | Everyday | Shopping | This is Life
I have been learning a lot with my hubby this last year and a half... he took on some side jobs (he does HVAC) and I have been going with him to help. Today, we did have to go to a job and they have the most beautiful view. I had to take advantage of it as we were packing up to leave. I love being my husband’s helper. We are truly the best of friends and Mike said that just having me sit there (which is mostly what I do when he doesn’t need me to bring him some supply or tool) makes the job so much better for him. Plus I get to see what it is that he does to provide for us so well. I am so grateful for him and will walk by him forever! We did go Christmas shopping today too actually! Just a few more presents and we’ll be done! 327/365 ~ Vastness | Spacious | Sprawling | Far-Reaching
Today was such a blessing! We decided to have a big celebration day because my three guys were hunting last weekend for my birthday and since Mike's birthday was yesterday, we thought it would be fun. So, we started at the water park for 5 hours. Then we went home to let Luna out and take showers and then we went back to town to see Frozen II which was awesome by the way! We have three very tired babies this evening! 326/365 ~ Ornate | Dressed Up | Patterned | Garnished
It’s my hubby’s birthday today! So happy to call him mine and spend these birthdays together! 325/365 ~ Clouds | Sky | Shapes | Colorful
This is not a photo of clouds... giggle! On our walk today, on this newly fallen snow, there were turkey tracks up and down the entire mile long road! Like hundreds of tracks!! They were everywhere! Thanksgiving is coming! Lol! |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
