I kissed my 8 year old when she went to bed last night. I woke up to a 9 year old this morning. It’s incredible the feelings behind each birthday that passes. It’s incredible ~ the mixed feelings of joy, sadness, pride, and even a bit of anger because it’s all just going to fast and there is nothing I can do but sit by and watch.

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday today. She will be NINE tomorrow! The party was at a virtual reality arcade and it was so cool! I drove by this arcade by chance a couple weeks ago and decided that it was worth a try considering we have done pretty much everything else our area has to offer. I am so glad we did because it was an incredible experience and we will definitely be going back again! 271/365 ~ Morning Light | Not So Early | Flare | Cool
My morning view. It’s nice to see the bright morning sunshine after such a long and cloudy/cold day yesterday. 270/365 ~ Where I Stand | In The Yard | Hands Full | Faceless
A bouquet of beautiful Autumn leaves and a lovely walk with my dog. This was necessary this morning as I was hired for a 12 hour wedding today and this quiet walk allowed me to prepare my head for the work ahead. 269/365 ~ What I’m Reading | Creative Angle | Fun Quote | Share a Review
I was lucky enough to be invited to my daughter's classroom to make a yummy apple treat that the kids got to eat this afternoon. After I helped with the treat I was blessed with some time with my girl who read me a fun story called “Smile.” 268/365 ~ Currently Loving | Handiwork | Raw Material(s) | Leisure Activity
This kinda-sorta fits into the idea today. My husband has had psoriatic arthritis for 7 years. Early on, symptoms weren't so bad... Within the last 3 years things got worse quite quickly and finally (and grudgingly) he decided medicine would be necessary. The doctors first tried multiple drugs in pill form and some actually made him worse. It took a full 2 years before we were finally informed of an injectable medicine (Humira) that sounded very promising. His very first injection was January 9 this year. He needs me to do this for him because the injection takes about 10 minutes due to the horrible burning sensation it causes. Things got so much better for him until about a month ago when his doctor said that the Humira isn’t actually keeping up for him. So, after 18 injections of that (every other week) he finally started a new medication last week called Cosentyx. He will be on a regimen of once weekly shots for 5 weeks and then just one injection a month after! AND! This one doesn’t hurt him!! So I am absolutely loving that fact and he doesn’t mind leisurely resting as I still do this for him (because even though this one doesn’t hurt ~ he really doesn’t like needles). 267/365 ~ Walking | Trail | Begin | On the Move
My favorite trail actually ends at one of my favorite spots! I could sit here for hours if I had my way. 266/365 ~ On the Go | In the Car | Out and About | Errands
This has become my favorite on the go part of my weekdays. I drop off the kids at TKD and then I get my time! I put on about 9 miles each night. Add that to my mile walk with Luna everyday and a 10 mile day feels really good! 265/365 ~ My Mantra | Motivation | Inspiration | Encouraging
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~ Unknown That's me and my baby girl sharing a cuddle while we took a break from our Ranger ride today. It was just the two of us and these moments are what make me so completely whole! 264/365 ~ Lemon | Fruit | Candy | Edible
We love salt water taffy around here! It doesn't matter what color they are. These half yellow half pink ones taste like bananas - YUM! |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
