119/365 ~ Cropped | Macro | Flower | Alone
I really tried to get these little paper flowers on the snow this morning... we had slushy white stuff that covered the entire yard. Gavin was up for 30 minutes this morning and I wish I had a camera going for his reaction. He was just walking back to the kitchen table and stopped dead in his tracks after seeing the snow on the back deck and just yelled “NOOOOOOOO!” Blake, Evette and I all looked at each other and laughed until our sides hurt! I know it doesn’t sound that funny but his reaction was just absolutely hilarious! The snow disappeared too quickly for me to capture it which is just fine by me! 218/365 ~ Red | Bright | Scarlet | Vibrant
Love this boy so much! Blake is starting to not like his photo taken much so I have to be sneaky sometimes. I love how he seems relaxed and just comfortable here ~ he was just sitting on a tree. 117/365 ~ Prompt Free
Oh my babies! They are having their own Bible Study in the downstairs living room. We just got this couch last weekend and we had to cut out a bit of the stairwell wall out to get it down here. That means I can hear them clearer when we are upstairs. I love listening to this. So much! 116/365 ~ Fragmented | Up Close | Not Perfect | How You Find It!
It’s been raining aspen seeds! They are everywhere! 115/365 ~ Scattered | Get the Broom | Time to Clean | Keeping it Real
Big highlight of my day = our local library has a book sale twice a year (I think) and I was able to get to this one. I went with the intention of finding any book in the series that Gavin is reading right now and sadly only found one. That didn’t stop me from finding many more titles that I can’t wait for my babies to enjoy! Each one of these books was only .25! Happy mom day for me!! They scattered them all over when they got home. They were as excited as I was to get them! 114/365 ~ Off Prompt | Children of God | Great Reminder
Last Friday, my boys were able to go to a lock-in at the church as a reward for working so hard during Awana nights and learning their verses. I did these lock-ins as a kid growing up through Awana myself and it was at one of these events when I took Jesus into my heart and life when I was around 9 or 10 years old. This sign my boys made with their good friend and it is such a huge reminder for me specifically. I love that this is the verse they wanted to display. I could go on and on about the fullness I feel seeing this. 113/365 ~ Character | Well-Used | Worn | Chippy
I love these shoes!! They are so crazy comfy and I am just grateful that when my feet are in them they still kinda look cute and I can hide the more worn areas with my feet. 112/365 ~ As I Found It | Natural | Comfortable | Real
She loves to make jello no bake cheesecake... I don’t blame her ~ licking the utensils clean is a big perk of helping! 111/365 ~ As Is | Not Posed | Messy | This Is Life
This is hard for me! At first I really wanted to just keep the focus on my hubby’s hands as he was peeling eggs for the deviled eggs we were bringing to his family’s Easter get-together ~ but then I read the prompt again and realized that these messy photos are so important... Luna’s kennel still set up in the kitchen, my crappy pot and Tupperware he is using for making the eggs. Yeah, this is as is for us ~ this is our life and it is important to capture it. |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
