90/365 ~ Yellow | Flower | Vibrant | Below
It’s snowing! The big, beautiful, fluffy kind of flakes that I love but wasn’t so successful in capturing. I knew the only way I was going to get yellow in the photo today was to add it. So this pretty flower is a fake one that I just added to the freshly filled bird feeder.

89/365 ~ On My Plate | Full Plate | Empty Plate | Partial Plate
(Mostly off prompt). This is the only photo I took today and I took it with my friends phone. I am not so thrilled with how this turned out for me but this group of people are amazing. These are the people who we spend three days a week with at Tae Kwon Do. There is pizza on this table but I didn’t even have any ~ kinda fits but kinda doesn’t. 88/365 ~ Instrument | Up Close | Just a Part | On The Third
Noun: an object or device for producing musical sounds. My favorite musical instrument is my phone (at least at this point in my life). I listen to my favorite music on my walks ~ usually Christian music. It gives me an opportunity to spend time with God through song. Today, my hubby was able to join me on his day off. 87/365 ~ How It Works | Mechanical | Looking Inside | Black & White
I was all ready to get a screwdriver and pull apart one of my vintage cameras to see inside and how it works. This little Rocket Camera was the first one I took off my shelf and I discovered that it pulled apart easily. This is such a simple design but from what I researched it sure took awesome photos. It is a Japanese “tea tin” camera and it is literally made out of tin. It’s an extremely lightweight camera and just seems like a fun toy! I would love to get a roll of film to experiment with. 86/365 ~ Hidden Gems | Intrigue | Hunt | Search
We are agate collectors and it’s especially fun to find them after the snow starts to melt away. Evette found this pretty one on our walk to Awana tonight (she wanted to point to it to help “see it better.”) 85/365 ~ Bubbles | Fruit | Macro | Fun
This was a lucky prompt today! I drink carbonated water so that was on hand - and then looking for some fruit, I was lucky that my babies left about 5 (seriously - only 5)! raspberries in the fridge. When we talk to them about rationing these treats I need to get them to understand that leaving only 5 kinda defeats the purpose. Giggle. :) 84/365 ~ Tell a Story | Ingredients | Stages | Process
This is why I do what I do. I take photos to help remember life. I scrapbook to organize and display this life. It takes so much work but when I get to do this surrounded by friends, the process is more enjoyable that way. I am so blessed to have shared these weekends at this camp with women who share this passion. 83/365 ~ Fill the Frame | Get in Close | No Spaces | Detail
It's going to be hard to say goodbye to this place. Tomorrow the retreat is over and there won't be another... at least here. Oak Hollow is where we have stayed the most. They have a large array of taxidermied critters which are amazing and beautiful in the decor of the building. This place will be missed and so will this pretty bear who welcomes us as we walk in. 82/365 ~ Narrow Aperture | Beams | Light | Rays
I love this view! So many wonderful women spending time doing a hobby they love... we are making precious memories as we document our past memories... that’s me on the bottom right of the photo with my group of friends. This will be our last retreat here ~ they won’t be offering the retreat anymore after this weekend. It was heartbreaking news but the lady who has done it said 22 years is a good number to end it on. We have decided that we will just have to fine a new venue to allow us to continue this tradition. I have been here 9 times since 2015! It will be hard knowing we won’t be back... (I knew I had to get this view for my photo today ~ I just made sure to also get the light beams included). 81/365 ~ Bright Green | Herbs | Backlit | Fill the Frame
I am not much of a food photographer but I knew I would find an opportunity to find some greens tonight during supper. I am officially on my scrapbook retreat (my 9th one here at Camp Shamineau ~ and the last one they will offer 😭). They always feed us like queens and tonight was no exception. |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
