My neighbor (the one I did the sign making event with yesterday) gave me this beautiful image a few years ago. I have it in my office at work. It’s a bright image in my windowless room (that luckily, I only need to come to every couple of weeks or so). I love the message it gives. A reminder I need daily!

My dear neighbor brought me with her to a DIY Wood Sign event. So! Much! Fun! We had to come to this with words in mind so in our case, the words came before the photo. I knew I wanted to capture this today. My plan for my sign is to go in my soon-to-be-finished basement. My favorite color is blue but you wouldn’t know that by my decorating... everything in my house is either a shade of tan or brown and red! My basement is a blank canvas though so I am ready to change it up! (Laundry is my least favorite chore so maybe a fun sign like this will help? OR, it may just help with the excuses not to do the laundry)! Giggle! 139/365 ~ With Words | It’s a Sign | Directions | Message
We have been under a steady drizzle and rainfall all day yesterday and today. Yesterday, Luna didn’t mind not going on our daily walk but she wasn’t going to do that twice! Lol! So, we walked... and it was a constant drizzle the whole time ~ and THE MUD! I wasn’t prepared for the mud with the shoes I wore. Thanks Luna! It’s always been so fascinating to me how these little creatures hatch all alone and find their way... their instincts tell them all they need to know and they trust them completely. We could learn so much from them that way! I did help this little guy move closer to the water in which he was so desperately trying to get to. 137/365 ~ Looking Down | From Up High | Centered | Circle
When you look at a field of dandelions you can either see hundreds of weeds or thousands of wishes. (I see wishes) 😊 136/365 ~ Looking Through | Eye Level | Sunburst | Transparent
This beautiful bush has taken its time to show me some love! Finally I am getting flowers! It's a Rhododendron and I love seeing these pretty blooms! I am glad to see it doing so well after 3 years ~ I was worried that it wouldn't do so well because we are in constant shade with our tall pines we are covered by. 135/365 ~ Fibonacci | Pattern | Symmetrical | Spiral
This was a fun little thing to find growing in the yard! 134/365 ~ Bridge | Lines | Balanced | Even
Just a short walk down the road is this beautiful little creek under the railroad tracks. I could sit here for hours with the thoroughly peaceful sound of the water flowing. It was cold standing in the water to get a better angle and I sunk up to my mid thigh in the soft sand! Luna, if it were possible, was laughing her head off at me as I was squealing from the chill! She also sunk and now I have a dirty, stinky dog to deal with. 133/365 ~ Natural | Inherent | Characteristic | Black and White
My daughter received roses this weekend for performing so beautifully at her Spring Dance Show. I LOVE roses so I am glad today’s prompt gave me an opportunity to capture one. It also fits because tonight is her end of season dance party and awards ceremony. 132/365 ~ Center and Symmetry | In the Middle | Centered | Portrait
Oh how crazy spoiled I am! I got this wonderful, insanely comfy, floating hammock for Mother’s Day! I pray all you special moms out there are just as spoiled ~ not necessarily with gifts but with lots of hugs, kisses, and love from your babies (because I also got those too)! |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
