21/365 ~ Consider the Background | Layers | Vertical | Horizon
Both Luna and I had to consider this background today. We both decided that too many layers would be necessary to make a walk very enjoyable ~ even if the snow falling is extremely beautiful. She decided a nap was more appealing. So I just get to watch the beauty as I work...

20/365 ~ On the Third | Not Centered | Still Life | Handmade My son, Blake, has brought home some pretty spectacular projects from shop class at school this month. He made a bird house and this gorgeous bird feeder. I love seeing my babies discover new skills in themselves! Blake is so proud of this project! Now we just have to cover the pinecone with peanut butter and bird seed and I know the little critters will enjoy this as much as we do! 19/365 ~ Necessary | Mandatory | Vital | Unavoidable
When it’s been months since seeing such a good friend it’s necessary to make a date. And when a date is necessary, good food is mandatory. Oh how I missed Heather! We have decided that visits like this are vital to our mental health and really have to make them as unavoidable as possible. Such a wonderful evening out! 18/365 ~ Where I Stand | Sitting | On The Floor | Ground Level
It’s a guarantee that anytime I am on the floor Luna insists on getting as close as she can for a cuddle. Even when I am trying to relax in my favorite yoga pose. It doesn’t bother me... unless she tries to chew on my fingers... 17/365 ~ Currently Loving | Sharing Our Hearts | Bible Study | So Much Support
These ladies are so important to me! Both have pulled me out of my shell in such positive ways. That beautiful woman in the middle is Amy. She welcomed me and our family into our new church so much and even pulled me into leading my own Awana group which is probably more of a blessing to me than anyone! Then Kristina at the end ~ she has more energy than anyone I know! She has SIX amazing boys and she even joined Tae Kwon Do with three of her boys and drags me to yoga burn (which is a crazy workout). Her energy is such an inspiration! Both of these women are so encouraging and I love sharing life with them. We are doing a study together once a week. I look forward to this meeting so much. 16/365 ~ It’s Routine | Mundane | Everyday | Can’t Forget
She doesn’t forget! She insists on a walk every day and I love the routine! She is entertaining enough that I never feel like this is a mundane activity (even if it’s only 8 degrees outside)... 15/365 ~ Outside | In Nature | Bundle Up | Natural
Evette chose blizzards for her science weather project for school. We finished it last night. She wanted to get a photo with me since we worked so hard. So Gavin gets the credit for this photo today. Us Minnesota girls know how to handle that sort of weather no problem! It was quite nice this morning so I didn’t need to bundle up for a quick photo with my beautiful daughter. ☺️ 14/365 ~ You (Again!) | Portion | Statement | Glimpse
Our room is small. Our room is cozy. I love this space! It’s the one room in my home that is just for me and my hubby. I don’t even have photos of my children in this room. This is where I get to rest, get that time with my hubby, recharge, read... I don’t need a big space for those things. ☺️ 13/365 ~ You! | Self Portrait | Essence | Uniqueness
I wouldn’t be me without HIM! Psalm 32:7-8 “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” 12/365 ~ Contemplative | Thoughtful | Calm | With Red
Gavin went with daddy to uncle Matt’s house. Blake and Eve stayed home with me. They let me have a 3 hour nap so afterward I brought them skating. These two don’t typically get along at all! Today has been a blessing as they have played together so nicely with no bickering! Makes me wonder why they can’t do this everyday... (just a quick cell shot today in the cold). |
Danette BadgerThis is my FIFTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014. In 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017 and 2018! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings! Archives
