15/365 ~ Currently Loving | Hands | Creating | Connection
For those of you who shared 365 with me last year, you saw our very scary start with our new furry baby, Luna. Within 18 hours of adopting her she was hospitalized with parvovirus. I had never heard of this virus before but it is something I will never forget. We were told that she basically had a 50/50 chance to survive this horrible disease. So, on a Friday, I dropped her off where she received care throughout the weekend and, lo-and-behold, she fought and fought and by the next Tuesday I was able to bring her home! Another hard part of this story is that last March I had to say goodbye to my furry baby that spent 13.5 years with me. That was extremely hard so to be open to bringing in a new baby only to possibly lose in such a horrible way was really difficult. She has already made ME her person and she is always so close. I love how she will sit with me and when I pet her face, she lets her head get heavy and all of a sudden, my hands become a pillow for her. We are working hard with her to create a sweet dog and I love having a connection with a dog again.

This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
