180/365 ~ On Paper | Book | Ink | Drawing
While I was wrapping presents for a birthday party this weekend, my daughter brought out some of her own very loved books that she wanted to wrap up for the birthday girl as well. I just know that she will love the sweet stories as much as my babies have all these years and I was so touched by my daughter's desire to give her own special things to such a sweet little girl that we all love! 179/365 ~ Happy Chance | Stumble Upon | Complimentary | Three
These are the pretty flowers Eve planted in her pot she painted at the creative arts camp at church this week. I thought it was awesome to capture these blooms in three different stages of opening. They sure do bloom beautifully! 178/365 ~ The Truth | Creative Arts Camp | Top Secret | Off Prompt
We finished our Creative Arts Camp at church today. There was an art show this evening to showcase everyone's hard work. These are the paintings that all three of my munchkins made. My insanely creative friend led this class and during her instruction, she would tell them that parts of the painting were "top secret." Evette was called up to the stage tonight and was asked what her favorite part of the camp was. Her response was the painting class. When asked what exactly was her favorite part, she said that it was secret. That made us all laugh! My friend loved that! Who knew that a silly statement during class would be taken so seriously by the kids. It really was a funny end to the day! Our theme for this week was "Know The Truth ~ Speak The Truth ~ Live The Truth." Our camp verse was from Psalm 86:11: "Teach me your way Lord and I will live by your truth." 177/365 ~ Painting | Graffiti | Artist | Walls
I was very excited after reading today's prompt because I knew I would have an opportunity to capture painting today. My kids and my niece and nephew have been going to our church for a Craft Camp and today my daughter painted a pretty flower pot. Most of the kids had this idea to paint their hands to print the pot and this is the pretty colors that Evette used. Lucky for me, there is a good amount of violet in this photo too following color week! 176/365 ~ Delicate | Blossom | Natural | Outside
This pretty (almost) bloom caught my eye outside the dojang tonight when dropping my kids off at TKD. 175/365 ~ Violet | Magical | Striking | Bokeh
I was at my aunt and uncles today to photograph my second cousins and I was pointed to this beautiful bush with hidden little baby birds. Totally made my day! (After playing with my little cousins of course)!! 174/365 ~ Contrasts | Extremes | Opposing | Dichotomy
We spent a very lovely day at my in laws for a visit. They have the most beautiful planters filled with gorgeous blooms and I love the extreme contrast of green and purple. So pretty! 173/365 ~ Forced Perspective | Fun | Scale | Concept
I always loved laying on the ground looking up to the sky. I feel tiny compared to so much in life. It's a perspective that keeps me grounded so-to-speak. A reminder that even though my place on this earth is a small one, I am so blessed to live this life with the people I am surrounded with. 172/365 ~ Eye Level | Understated | Elegant | Simple
This was my view for most of today. A super fun day with my family on the lake. This is such a simple things for us to do with a public beach right down the road. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful state! Mom and I floated to our hearts content while the kids enjoyed being pulled behind my brothers boat and swimming all around us. This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
