31/365 ~ The Background Matters | Direction | Lines | Movement
I was so thrilled to look outside this afternoon and see a beautiful snowfall - so I grabbed my favorite snowflake decoration that I have hanging outside by my door and took a quick photo. I love seeing the little specks of snow in the background. It really does matter and a background like this makes me feel perfectly peaceful.

While blow drying my daughter's hair this morning, we enjoyed this beautiful sunrise out my bedroom window over my hubby's garage. 29/365 ~ Alone | One | Single | Suspended
I love how this project prompts us to document things we wouldn't typically document. Like this little flying eagle - it was my grandpa's and now that he is gone, I keep it on my desk as a constant reminder of him. I would have never thought to photograph it because I see it every day but someday it may be lost or broke and if that happens, I'll be happy that I did take a photo. 28/365 ~ Rule of Thirds | Off Center | Grid | Composition
My boys got an early birthday present today. Mostly because my hubby and I had to clean out the part of the basement where we were putting it so we thought it would be fun to try it out a bit early. They use these heavy bags at Tae Kwon Do and love to kick and punch them. I won't lie, I even had a good time punching at it today! I really dressed this one up because it was a horrible cell shot in a dark basement after almost 7 straight hours of cleaning and organizing ~ man how do we have so much stuff?!? 27/365 ~ Prompt Free
This sums up my family 100%! Eve hangs off to the side either singing or talking to herself, Blake is running around and yes, he is up to his knee in snow here laughing at himself, Gavin is being pulled by Luna who wants to run, and my hubby is walking beside it all thinking what a crazy family we are blessed with! Well, I'm not sure what he is thinking but that's what I think. Oh, and of course, I am standing in front of it all behind the camera capturing our life and all the real goodness that they present for me to capture. 26/365 ~ Outlined | Frost | Side Light | Heart
I found this beautiful heart up on a hill when my hubby and I took a break today and rode the Ranger for a bit. It was a nice time with my hubby and a fitting prompt to find a heart. :) 25/365 ~ Shadows | Shape | Profile | Contrast
I have one of those beautiful Scentsy warmers in the shape of a camera that I got as a gift from my cousin that I do a lot of photos for. It's in my living room and faces down the hallway. The end of the hallway always displays my shadow as I walk down the hall. Today, I decided to use it! I haven't always liked my profile to be honest... But I have been working on things physically for quite some years now and I feel great! 24/365 ~ Dancing Light | Dappled | Black and White | Inanimate
I am pretty much just off prompt today but I had to document this. Every morning Luna hates saying goodbye to her kids. The moment they fight their way out the door (they have to keep her from squeezing out) she climbs on the couch and barks and yells at them until the bus comes and takes them away. Then she is done and comes to spend the rest of the day with me. 23/365 ~ Sunburst | Bright | Rays | Effect
Each morning I get to enjoy the sunrise right from my office window. So blessed to work at home with a beautiful view! 22/365 ~ Soft | Muted | Glow | Afternoon
My daughter's hair is soft as silk and I love that she likes to keep it long. She has the most beautiful natural highlights and loves to let me play with it and brush it. |

This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
