141/365 ~ Fence | Field | Tree | Countryside
My dad put this fence up one summer ages ago when we had his dogs for an extended trip they were taking. After their trip, we never used it but kept it up. I really didn't even plan to use it for Luna but she thinks that when we give her an inch ~ she automatically gets a mile. She's not being so good for us if she is not leashed so this fence is the best option for her at this point. We are going to expand it for her soon to the edge of the wood line that you can see in the background.

140/365 ~ Leading Lines | Path | Walkway | Trail
This definitely doesn't follow the prompt but it's my day today. I love the fact that I have a husband who can listen to a crazy idea that I have and turn it into reality. He made this for me today for our bathroom and I love it! 139/365 ~ Prompt Free | Successful TKD Testing
My three munchkins have been working so hard! Today, all that hard work paid off and Evette advanced from 6th to 5th green (5 belts away from black) and Gavin and Blake advanced from 4th to 3rd purple (3 belts away from black). I am so filled with pride for them all. Their daddy is pretty proud too! His babies are following his footsteps. Here is the before and after (all belts now have a stripe). 138/365 ~ Indoor | Tungsten | Hall | Artificial
Since August of 2016 we have come to this building. My boys started their journey at that time in the Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do. Then in January of 2017 my daughter joined, and then in March my husband (who received his black belt in the same school back in 1996) came back as well. This place feels like our home away from home. We are here 2-3 days a week. The friendships cultivated here are lifelong. Tonight, the halls are fil...led with gear and the dojang is full of those training for testing. After tonight's 4-6 hour workout, we will be back tomorrow morning to watch those ready to move up in rank. My boys and daughter will all be testing tomorrow. It's challenging ~ this Martial Art they are learning ~ but the benefits of what they are learning are priceless! Perseverance, Integrity, Courtesy, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit are all pieces of their training. All four of my family members inspire me so much (and everyone else at the dojang as well)! 137/365 ~ Open Shade | Reflected Light | Natural Light | Outside
When there is a gorgeous sunny day with perfect breeze and perfect temperature ~ there is no need to find the shade... well, at least for me. (And that's saying something because I am a 100% shade baby)! Luna didn't want to sit very long either but I think she enjoyed the small bit of shade I provided for a quick photo moment ~ at least it made it easier for her to look up at me. 136/365 ~ Low Light | Early Morning | Late Night | Dim
Oh this man! How blessed I am to have him in my life! He takes such good care of us and works so hard everyday. I thank God daily for him. Tonight we left the kids home with subs for dinner and we went out to grocery shop. It's the small things that replenish a marriage ~ even if it is grocery shopping without kids! (He fell asleep 5 minutes after I took this photo). 135/365 ~ Dreamy | Hazy | Soft Light | Diffused
Thank goodness for pretty Mother's Day flowers! My three chose these for me from church on Sunday. Such a blessed mommy I am! 134/365 ~ With Flash | In The Dark | Shaped | Experiment
My beautiful little girl to experiment with flash on. Oh how I love her freckles!! 133/365 ~ Type of Lights | Side-light | Evening | Golden Hour
Such a beautiful Mother's Day today! The sunshine pouring through the side of the church windows projecting the crosses from the windows on the opposite wall caught my eye this morning. 132/365 ~ Favorite Subject | Still Life | Place | People
My favorite subject?... anything and all things family! And when I can place my family in beautiful settings like this during a wheeler ride (something we all love to do so much) ~ my favorite subject stands out even more! |
Danette Badger
This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
