355/365 ~ Where I Stand | Decorations | Singular Focus | Looking Down
Finally sitting down for the evening... watching “You’ve Got Mail” with my hubby ~ with a happy puppy passed out after playing hard with the kids who are now sleeping peacefully in their rooms. We are looking forward to 4 days off together ~ nothing to worry about but opening all those presents below our tree.

354/365 ~ Options | Choices | Alternatives | Opportunities
My very dear friend is having her pinning ceremony tonight after completing her degree as an RN! I am so proud of her and thought a nice box of chocolates would give her many options to satisfy her sweet tooth. After all, chocolate is a great congratulatory gift for sure! 353/365 ~ Sounds Of The Season | Lyrics | Emotions | Dreams
I love that Netflix has a "Fire Place for Your Home" that plays a crackling fire along with lovely Christmas music. I always think of the song, "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" when I see fires burning during Christmastime. 352/365 ~ In The Corner | Tree | Lights | Sparkle
We leave our tree on 24/7 ~ I love how it lights up our home. Makes it so cozy. 351/365 ~ Currently Loving | Quiet Moments By The Tree | Sun Flare | Mugs
I am currently loving the fact that I DON'T have a cat who terrorizes our tree. It seems everywhere I look on FB or IG, there is some friend who is fighting their little pests to stay out of their trees. Giggle! He just likes to lay on the presents below and that doesn't bother me one bit. :) 350/365 ~ Self Portrait | Ham It Up | Silly | With A Friend
I wasn’t intending on signing up for the mother daughter dance with my daughters dance class but when I talked to her about NOT doing it, her face said it all about how sad that made her so I signed us up that very night. My extrovert daughter sure pulls her introvert mommy into some pretty big situations!! We have had only two practices and today is the day! We are dancing to the song “Minnesota Girls” and we are dressing in buffalo plaid and black ~ like the Minnesota on my hat that she is wearing. I am glad she pulls me into things like this. Happy memories for sure! 349/365 ~ Edible | From Above | Plated | Dinner
I switched the order of the prompt today because we didn’t have a very “pretty dinner” ~ it was just scrambled eggs with sausage, onions, and cheese. So I am just doing an edible candy cane. I love these but it wasn’t until today that we finally got some for our tree! 348/365 ~ Seasonal Treats | Limited Edition | Yummy | Food Photography
This is mostly seasonal for us because we don’t typically have hot chocolate drinks during the summer time. My kids have a cup in the morning with breakfast and a cup after school each day. They love hot chocolate! Gavin was helpful as he filled his half-gone drink with even more mix (because there is never enough ~ you know). I don’t miss this season when it’s done because I won’t have chocolate powder all over the kitchen counters! Giggle! (They do a good job of cleaning up after themselves). 346/365 ~ Natural | Simple | Ordinary | Brown
Our local churches (my church included) all work together to put on a live nativity scene. This is amazing and we enjoy it every year. This scene is especially special tonight because my daughters teacher is playing Joseph and Mary is played by his wife who also teaches at our school. Our Awana commander is in this scene too. Such special people in our life helping share the real reason for why we celebrate Christmas. Such a simple scene... but so monumental!! God chose such ordinary people to raise the most precious child this earth has ever been blessed with. |

This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
