223/365 ~ Prompt Free | More Work | Home Improvement | When Will It Be Done
I woke up at 6:30 this morning to stain the ceiling tiles for the boys bedrooms. Then I went to the store to pick up the carpet. Then I got home and a friend of ours helped my hubby and I hang sheetrock in Blake's room (completely done)! Then I went back outside to put a coat of varnish on the ceiling tiles. Whew! It's been an extremely busy day! (My hubby and boys love this stain color because it's call Gunstock ~ lol)!

222/365 ~ Round | Circle | Curved | Arched
I love all the circles and arches on these pretty Tiger Lillies! 220/365 ~ HDR Setting | Vivid | Contrast | Saturation
Had my hubby stop on the side of the road after shooting trap tonight to capture one of these pretty flowers. 219/365 ~ Underexposed | Sunset | Silhouette | Tree
I was blessed to do a graduation photo session tonight for a very handsome young man. He chose to have his photos taken at a Christian Camp near our home. Evette came with me and asked to pose against this cross. The most important tree in our history. 218/365 ~ Double Exposure | Layered | Two | Try Something New
I love double exposure photos! I had high hopes of getting a double exposure of the momma bird and her babies today that reside on the ledge above our garage but that just didn't happen. This sums up my day better. Mike ripped out the last bit of the chimney from our basement as I insulated the bedroom walls (insulation sucks by the way... there is no other way to say that). THEN we decided to go back to town and get the 36 sheets of sheet rock to dot he rooms downstairs. THIRTY-SIX sheets had to come down one-by-one... this was awful and we are exhausted!! So much for a relaxing last day of vacation! 217/365 ~ Exposure | Light | Balance | Meter
After 5 days at the hunting shack with no running water, the kids experienced what it means to do dishes the old fashioned way. When I told them that this was how I had to do dishes growing up (with a sink of course) they realized how lucky we are to have a dish washer. Good "exposure" for sure! 216/365 ~ Summer | From My View | What I Love | Season
Summer to me is spending time in the outdoors exploring all we can ~ especially with our wheelers. These last few days have been spectacular ~ we are having so much fun being together and seeing all this beautiful countryside! 215/365 ~ Where I Stand | Accomplishment | Effort | Next Step
Vacation takes so much work! All the packing and preparation it takes to have a good time is a lot of effort! But when we get to look out and see three happy babies ~ all that work makes it worth it. We drove out to Schoolcraft State Park and Eve got to swim in the mighty Mississippi and the boys got to fish. When they had no luck fishing, we decided to enjoy the hiking trails a bit. We live in such beautiful country! 214/365 ~ Sentimental | Treasure | Held Dear | Loved
Oh yes! I am extremely sentimental. I take 100s of photos at every event imaginable and I scrapbook to document those moments... Those are the things I am most sentimental about ~ Photos. Today, however, I am feeling sentimental about quiet moments. Campfires make me feel wonderful. It's moments like this where I spend time with my family that really stick in my mind. And I pray that by making moments like this for my kids, they remember these fond memories when they are grown and feel that sentimental feeling as well. For me, today, sentimental means moments ~ not things. |

This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
