70/365 ~ Brings Me Joy | Pleasure | Happiness | Gratification
I have been so blessed because this entire weekend I have been able to do something that brings me joy. I LOVE scrapbooking and since Friday afternoon some dear friends and I have been working hard preserving our families memories. I am choosing to not show a ton of my face here because I have had an emotional morning while working on a part of my life where I said goodbye to my grandparents and there has been happy tears shed ~ but puffy eyes don't show much happiness. Giggle!

69/365 ~ With Purple | Harmony | Compatible | Match
I stayed behind my group tonight after dinner to enjoy the sunset over the late at the retreat. I knew that the beauty of God's creation would fit perfectly with the prompt today and the harmony of these colors are always so breathtaking. It's always heard to leave this place. Thankfully, I get to stay until Monday afternoon! 68/365 ~ Confection | Sugary | Treat | Macro
I am back at the scrapbook retreat and they always feed us like queens! Tonight we are enjoying a healthy little treat right along side a yummy carrot cake! We are lucky ladies! 67/365 ~ In The Center | Inside | The Heart | Core
I am stretching the idea today but this is the only thing I took photos of and I love adding this to my 365. This is Blake at chess club. He loves this game and I love watching him do the things he enjoys. So here he sits inside the center of the library playing from the heart. 66/365 ~Shadows | Highlight | Emphasize | Mysterious
While saying goodnight to my boys, their little sister wanted to read us all a story. When listening to her read, I watched the lights change color on their bunk beds and noticed that the little pizzas turned yellow on occasion so I realized that it was a perfect opportunity and one that fit the prompt quite nicely today! 65/365 ~ Small | Miniature | Measure | Minimal
I haven't carried a purse since before my daughter was born (over 7 years ago). I made the decision to get a bag that will allow me to have my camera with me EVERYWHERE I go so now I will be carrying a purse again... I ordered a bag off of Etsy and I love it! I especially love the mini camera that is on it. Makes me wish my actual camera was this size. My shoulders are going to feel the weight of this purse thing again! LOL! 64/365 ~ Not in Focus | Blurred | Foreground | Gift
This is a crazy contrast to what it really is outside! School was cancelled last night at 9:30 in anticipation to the huge storm we slept through and the storm that hasn't let up at all through the day! It's a white and grey world out there today but the kids are happy to stay home and play in it and I have gotten a lot done at work so it's been a win-win. This pretty flower is a pen! My boys, last year in 4th grade, both made me a pot with beans in it with three flower pens each for Mother's Day. I love them both (the boys and the flower pots)! My babies spoil me so much! 63/365 ~ Yellow | Lines | Rows | Contrast
Oh, there is a little yellow in this photo... a few lines in the trees... and sometimes trees grow in rows... a bit of contrast too. But mostly, there is a lot of love in this photo and I have to use a photo like this today. With the small moments we have together like this, I need to savor each and every moment and I really do! 62/365 ~ Celebrate | A Cupcake | With Sprinkles | Seven
My daughter had a birthday party to attend today. Here she is, who is SEVEN, holding the gift she gave her friend today. It was a wonderful day! I was able to multitask as I was listening to the CY365 birthday party and got the other two signs that I was asked to make for my church done. The CY365 party was a blast and I was giggling so much today! Oh what wonderful people I share this project with! I am so grateful! 61/365 ~ A Message | Sign | Imagination | Inspiration
Dr. Seuss is absolutely right ~ SOMETIMES YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE VALUE OF A MOMENT UNTIL IT BECOMES A MEMORY. I think that is why I love photography so much because it allows me to MAKE the MEMORIES last forever! I can just imagine how many memories these old cameras have captured in their day! |

This is my FOURTH challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so after finishing 2016 successfully I just had to keep going in 2017! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year. CY365
