Day 140/365: Plugging away at work and my devoted furry friend sits by my feet and sometimes peaks at me around my computer screen. She is always so near me and literally has panic attacks when she can see me but can't get to me. She will be 11 years old this year and even though she is starting to show signs of stiffness and she is slowing down, she is still such a dear and loyal friend to me.
I am hoping that after today things will get better for me. I am very blessed that I don't have to work in my office often as I mainly work from home. This just happened to be where I was today.
Day 138/365: I have always loved looking at the sky when the sun's rays stream through the clouds. It makes me feel the hope of a bright tomorrow, a bright future, a bright life. But then it also makes me think about loved ones I have lost. I like to think that heaven is up in those clouds and all those who I have lost are up there looking down on me - and there's hope that someday I will meet them all again! On a side note - I was blessed to photograph an event for my church today that we call The Run for the Cross. It's an even where motorcycles and their riders enjoy a 100 mile trip raising funds to utilize for our community as needs arise. This also fit in to today's prompt for me today. I have lost two loved ones due to motorcycle accidents and this day really made me think that now that we are upon motorcycle season and the bikes will be out in full force - it's important for the safety of these riders. Here's hoping that all riders stay safe this summer!
Now that I am getting ready to say goodnight to this exceptionally wonderful day with my family - all I can do is send a quick prayer that we continue to grow and develop with each other. That we can continue to have wonderful, fun and laughter filled days, and that we can continue to express to each other how much importance each one of us has in the growth and development of each other. In my opinion, there is nothing more important than that!
Day 136/365: Teaching little boys the benefits of self-discipline can come with many challenges. If I have learned anything as a parent - there is nothing as important as repetition, repetition, repetition! I will repeatedly tell them how much I love them so they will never doubt it. I will repeatedly take them on adventures so they will know the joys of this life. I will repeatedly stalk them and watch them so I can keep them safe and happy. If I help instill good and healthy habits in their life while they are young, I can only hope that they will continue on with those good and healthy habits when they are older and gone from our home. So, yes, one of those things does involve brushing our teeth every morning and night. One day, I imagine that they won't need me to remind them to do so... Day 135/365: This photo opportunity came about unexpectedly as I was working. I have my camera always near me so it wasn't hard to get these photos. I love how I can look out my big living room window and just watch the birds. I find myself curling up with a blanket and just watching them even in the midst of my kids running around being crazy and wild. Birds are fun to watch and I feel that it is relaxing to do so. And when you get to see beauties like this - it's just hard to look away.
Day 133/365: My favorite form of activity is yoga. I love how it makes me feel. Some huge benefits of yoga: flexibility, strength, joint health, spinal health, bone health, gets blood flowing, heart health, lowers blood pressure, lowers cortisol levels which helps reduce depression, helps maintain weight, lowers blood sugar, improves coordination - reaction time - and memory, it improves your immune functions, relieves pain, and so on... I've learned this hands on... I'm a proud yogi. I practice daily. Day 132/365: This is one of the ways that I take time for myself for some serious self-care. I snapped this picture from the certificate that I have. I'm very excited to have some relax time just for me. I have all of my regular medical check-ups done already for this year so this was as close as I could get for today. There are so many benefits of massage like stress, tension, and anxiety relief. Massage helps to improve blood circulation to help deliver oxygen and nutrients to the cells. It helps stimulation of the lymphatic system to carry away the waste products in our bodies. It helps to relieve and prevent muscle cramps and spasms. It also helps with things such as arthritis. My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30AM.

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
