Day 345/365: There isn't much to say about this... Only that they sure make me smile! I got these from my mother-in-law a few years ago. :)

Day 340/365: My favorite thing about celebrating the birth of Jesus is the feelings of joy from giving to those we love. Each year my husband and I try so hard to think of special gifts to give all our loved ones. I am the one who does the wrapping in my house. I try to make it easier on us by sorting the presents by family and wrapping a certain families gifts in a different color wrapping paper. My family is red, my husband's family is green, and our little family of 5 has blue paper this year. It makes it much easier to pull them out from under the tree when we travel to the grandparents' houses to celebrate with them. Day 339/365: We have a wonderful railing which is usually a favorite place to collect all of our mail, papers from school, library books, bills, etc. It's nice for me at Christmas time because I can remove all the daily paraphernalia and put out my Christmas decorations. The nativity set is a new item to my collection. I just got it about a month ago. A very happy and lovely addition to our Christmas decoration collection.
Day 338/365: This adorable couple was made by my dearest Grandma. She is the woman who was a huge part of my childhood! She is who I get my creative side and my love of God from. Her and I were so close. She passed away in 2011 and each Christmas I get to pull out her handmade decorations - it just keeps her close. It's exactly what I need to keep her (and my grandpa who also died that same year) close and near for Christmas. They always made this time of year so special for us all.
Day 337/365: Every year my kids make three ornaments each. One is for our Christmas tree and the other two are for both sets of their grandparents. This year we went with a Santa ornament. I do take photos throughout the entire project and, of course, I scrapbook this event each year. I love seeing how different they come out. This is my son, Blake, and his Santa ornaments - he was putting on the final touches of the nose and mouths.

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
