Day 314/365: My little dog sure isn't happy about the snow fall today, but I am. I have never disliked winter. I feel like it's the earths way of resetting. I love the clean white blanket we get after a fresh snowfall. It covers all the grey and dull colors of the end of fall. Winter brings us so much fun - all of the outdoor activities that we bundle up for are things that my family loves so much. Not to mention the hot chocolate we buy in bulk during these months too!

Day 312/365: This little beauty is the youngest child of one of my best friends. I did a photo shoot for her and her family and captured this pretty portrait. I love the light and shadows in this image!
Day 307/365: I absolutely love the smells that baking goodies creates! This is my favorite fall/winter treat - homemade caramel corn! This is my grandma's recipe so that makes it SO much better!
Day 306/365: I am very thankful for the light we have. Especially since we just set our clocks back an hour and now that we are coming into days that are shorter. This was taken on the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, MN. I loved the star bursts that the street lights created as I was taking some night images of the cityscape.
Day 305/365: The month of Thanksgiving is upon us and I have been challenged to take this month and really think about things that I am thankful for. Today's idea is being thankful for yourself. Today was also a prompt to get a photo of myself in a mirror. I was able to do this today after being in the car for quite some time and realized that the visor mirror was perfect to use! Even though I did take a photo with just me in it - I found that the ones with my munchkins in the frame turned out SO much better! So, yes, I am thankful for me. But I am mostly thankful that I had a body that was able to have three beautiful and healthy children and I am thankful for a heart that is able to love and cherish each one of them!

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
