Day 192/365: Yesterday two of my very best friends came over for a relaxing afternoon. We got into our wedding dresses and did a photo shoot! It was so much fun. I just celebrated my 8th wedding anniversary - Jenna is going on her 2nd anniversary - and Cindy is coming up to her first anniversary. We have known each other for 15-20 years! We have been through so much together and I am so happy that I have these two girls in my life.

Day 191/365: There are two sets of these cute little owls. One set sits on my windowsill by my kitchen sink. The other set lives in my best friends truck - by her speedometer. I bought these for her as a testament to our friendship - that no matter where we are - if we look at these special mementoes, we can always know that we have each other for always! I have known this special woman for 20 years! What's even better is that I got to spend the day with her today! This makes me sad because I can vividly remember the miles that my boys put on this cute little car... Oh well, I left it where it was - someday it may be found and picked up again.
Day 189/365: My living room became a battle field this afternoon - FOR MY FEET!! They just had to dump their two buckets of Legos all over our living room floor! It was fun, though, watching them search through their hundreds of Legos to find exactly what they were looking for. Then, with the remaining Legos still on the ground - it was fun to watch them (fresh Lego boats in hand) surf around in the Lego Ocean!
Day 188/365: I love the country song by Miranda Lambert "Automatic." It really says a lot about how much we miss out on as technology advances. People look down too much ~ down at those phones or the many other screens that we have available. My husband and I are working very hard to teach our kids that life is not in a computer, or a video game, or on the television. We are an outside loving family and we do so much together in an active way! Back 'to the point' - I have a photography journal and this is one of the very few blank pages left. It's open to write something I want to remember - or try something new.
Day 185/365: We had the most wonderful day! Family and friends galore. You could say that I am bursting with the joy of it all. This fireworks show wrapped up a perfect day for us!
I asked him to stop by today as he was driving by my house and I snapped a couple photos of this red, white, and blue eagle on his arm. A very appropriate and All-American image for me today!

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
