GLAD ~ Picture Color ~ Brown ~ 243:365PictureToday:2021
I was so glad my kids were able to get a few friends to come join us today at the outdoor water park! It was our last opportunity and today was perfect! I was especially glad this little spider didn’t need to come any closer to me too! Instead, it just needed a shady space to rest and hung out here for a couple of hours! Psalms 118:24 The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.

It’s so amazing to see how old blooms can be dying and yet new blooms will be vibrant and thriving right next to them. This is a garden so lovingly taken care of outside the building where my family goes to Tae Kwon Do. Song of Songs 6:2 My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to browse in the gardens and to gather lilies. ACCOMPLISHMENT ~ Picture Color ~ Brown ~ 241:365PictureToday:2021
I had the whole 2 hour drive home from my weekend away to think of what the word “accomplishment” means to me and I kept coming to balance. I’ve been feeling very out-of-balance lately but I am definitely doing things and spending time with people who are helping me feel better in that department. I made a little stop before getting home and intended on standing on this railing as a “balance beam,” however, my timer was not long enough (and I’m pretty sure I would have broke my neck had I actually been successful in standing up there) so instead, I am just balancing by sitting on the 6” wide board. This was quite difficult (and quite high as well… would have been a mucky and wet fall to my right and a very hard and abrupt fall to my left). 5 photos and I was done! Whew! Proverbs 3:13 Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding… SHARE ~ Picture Style ~ Double Exposure ~ 240:365PictureToday:2021
Today has been beyond perfection. It’s been raining (which has been sorely needed), so we have all just been content sitting inside visiting, playing games, laughing, crying, dancing, praying, eating, and just completely relaxing with the best of the best sort of people where there is no need for pretending and no worries about judgment. We are just a group of imperfect women working hard to do this life together the best way we know how. A big part of that is getting together to do weekends like this. Oh how my heart is full! (The double exposure is from the 1,000 piece puzzle we put together Saturday and Sunday)! 2 Corinthians 1:7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will share in the comfort. I get to spend the next two days with the most amazing ladies in this beautiful house! I am so blessed and grateful to be included with this group because they all live within a short distance and grew up together and I live 2 hours away and have met some of them only a year ago. These weekends are so uplifting and important for me and this one couldn’t have come at a better time for me. 1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building. I’m having some difficulties lately… difficulties finding joy in everyday things and relationships and work. I am with these three munchkins (who tower over me now) 24/7 on top of working full-time (in the medical field which is a whole other thing)… I manage a household pretty much singlehandedly because my husband’s job keeps him out of the house for very long hours and then all 4 of them get to go to their hobby of Tae Kwon Do three days a week while I come back home to clean and make dinner. Daily, I find myself arguing with these three people. Every thing I say, they argue. They even argue with using the exact same idea but different words and they think they are correct! 😳 THEN! As I am working in my home office, all throughout the day I get the insane pleasure of hearing random outbursts of top-of-the-lung-yelling of “STOP” and “OW” and “QUIT” and “MOVE!” Sometimes a fight breaks out after those screams and I hear a punch or two… I don’t even bother getting involved anymore because all the lectures of talking, crying or screaming hasn’t made a bit of difference and I’m burnt out. Mind you, this sounds like it’s 24/7 in my home which is not accurate at all. My kids are incredible! However, we are in a stage of difficulty with sibling rivalry and dislike ~ hormones are rampant ~ momma is in these 4 walls alone all day long… this too shall pass! They do bring me lots of moments of sunshine and I am aware of those moments! On our walk home today from the boys drivers ed class they showed me their little trick they call the “potato” on their scooters. Giggle! That with an added happy daisy and it makes for an awesome photo for sure! 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. WALKWAY ~ Picture Style ~ Double Exposure ~ 237:365PictureToday:2021
Mixing a photo from a pathway from last night when I went to a painting party with some friends and a photo of my family tonight while we walked home from a local restaurant after supper together. 😁 Psalms 128:1 How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! Rainy mornings = 3 babies curling up watching cartoons before band camp (Evette from 9:30-1:30) and drivers ed (Gavin & Blake from 1:00-4:00). Oh how we have needed the rain! Hosea 6:3 Let us strive to know the Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land. 8 O'CLOCK ~ Picture Style ~ Double Exposure ~ Picture Time ~ 235:365PictureToday:2021
18 years ago on August 23, 2003, I said goodbye to my fiancé Jason. He was only 23 years old. He is forever loved and always missed by so many of us. These were the last photos we took together just a week before the accident we were in on the same motorcycle that ultimately took his life. I was only 18 years old here. It’s amazing to think this was half a lifetime ago for me. Monarch butterflies are significant signs that Jason is near and one visited me today. 2 Corinthians 1:4 He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. Danette BadgerThis is the 7th year I have participated with a 365 photography challenge! In 2015 I didn't follow a 365 project, unfortunately. So, from 1/1/14 to 12/31/20 I have taken 2,483 daily photos (beside my own personal photos) and plan to add another 365 for this year! Starting 1/1/21 I am officially part of the 365 Picture Today Team which means that I will be responsible for writing some of the prompts that are delivered daily to our community and also some blogging pieces and features of some of our community members. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how it's translated into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge and community very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings! Join us @ 365picturetoday.com Archives
