Day Fifty: Cover | Cap | Blanketed | Wrapped
I love when the prompts fall into my lap! Today is wear-a-hat-to-school-day and my daughter has this super cute ladybug hat that she decided to wear. It's a cover and it's red! Perfect! We took just a couple of minutes to sit on the deck this morning before school and I loved how she peaked up at me. We shared a lot of giggles this morning as she was giving me a variety of goofy faces - but I like the feel of this one - she looks so peaceful and serene. A great way to start the day! Happy Friday!

Day Forty-Seven:
Those bows that my boys received for their birthday made for the perfect tool for this idea. After brainstorming so many different ideas this was what I wanted to play with, and, once again, my munchkins were more than willing to help out! I was able to find FIVE (only five) balloons that I filled up and put red food coloring in hoping to add that extra pop. Well, this was the very first shot taken after the very first arrow was released. There wasn't enough red coloring but I still like how the water struck out of the balloon after being punctured. If only that arrow was in focus. Another fun photo for the memory books! My boys had a BLAST with this! Day Forty-Six: My munchkins have a day off from school today so after asking me what the prompt was they all wanted to pitch in. Eve colored first, Gavin was next and Blake completed our RED heart. I love that they didn't want it to be completely red and added their own special touches to it. LOVE my babies SO very MUCH! :)
Day Forty-Four: (off prompt) My mom and I traveled quite a distance today to partake in a fun event called the Traveling Art Pub. For a couple of hours we felt like artists (while being directed how to make this beautiful painting by an actual artist). This was a very nice time and I know we'll probably do it again soon! Before, during, and after - photos taken by me, my mom, and the artist at the end (the photo of my mom and me with our finished products)... I never knew I could paint - in fact, I always said I never had a lick of skill in this area of art. :) I am happy with the end result! Day Forty-Three: Where I Stand | Step Back | Perspective This is a restorative yoga pose that feels like heaven at the end of a busy day - when I usually do this pose. This is called legs-up-the-wall or Viparita Karani and has so many health benefits. I can enjoy this pose for hours. Like I said, I usually do this at the end of the day while my hubby and I are watching a movie together or I may turn on some music and just relax. Today, I decided I wanted to get my POTD done this morning and I have to say, I may have to add this to my morning routine. I feel great and ready to take on the day! Day Forty-Two: A Dreaded Task | Cringe | Procrastinate | Shudder
Laundry - Washing isn't so bad... The machine does that part. Drying isn't so bad... The machine does that part. Taking them out to fold them and put away - that IS so bad... I have to do that part. Yes, laundry is my dreaded task. A necessary one and one that just piles and piles and piles. How do we have so many clothes!?!? The chore has to start somewhere and before I get to go get pampered today getting my hair done - I'll let the machines do their part first. :) Day Forty-One: Scene | View | Surroundings | Landscape
This is the view I am blessed with on my way to work... The sun is at my back and I get to enjoy all the beautiful colors of a breathtaking sunrise most mornings. On these cold winter days - I can't complain. (Edited phone photo) |

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
