Day Three Hundred Fifteen:
Thankful For Where I Stand | Step Back | Look Down | Perspective About a month ago I had the extreme fortune of finding a trampoline that was being discarded on the side of the road. The gentleman who was throwing it away was outside so I was able to chat with him and he told me that this specific trampoline is one of those that attaches to a huge inner tube and floats on the water. The inner tube has holes in it so the trampoline was worthless to him. The thing looked brand new! Anyway, I had seen a few ideas of digging in a ground level trampoline and that is exactly what we did. It was a huge project but all 5 of us worked so hard and we had our trampoline installed in about 3 hours. It was backbreaking digging that deep hole but it was SO worth it! My kids are out bouncing on it at every free moment. Sometimes, they even have an extra few minutes in the morning so this morning I went out to watch their tricks. I am so thankful!

Day Three Hundred Fourteen:
Thankful For Faith | Belief | Religion | Conviction My husband ALWAYS takes my hand when we pray or when others pray around us. I am thankful for my faith and I am extremely thankful that I have found someone to share my faith with. I flipped my bible open to the very popular verse ~ 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 ~ Love never fails is how that verse sums up and that is a conviction I can believe in. I can love, because God first loved me.
Day Three Hundred Eleven:
Thankful For My Super Power | Positive | Unnatural | Talent We traveled last night to my very best friend's house. Today, she and her husband are hosting a Thanksgiving dinner and I knew that if we didn't come early I wouldn't have time to visit with her. So, we invited ourselves over to spend the night... Today, when I told her about my prompt, she said that one of my super powers is helping people. (Another reason we came early was so I could help her prepare her meal). That meant a lot to me and we have been working hard preparing and visiting to our hearts content. I needed this time with my friend. It makes having my hubby away a bit easier. Day Three Hundred Ten: Thankful For Memories | Recapture | Printed | Priceless
My boys tested for the first time today at Tae Kwon Do. They moved up from the white belt to the gold belt. My husband, who is a first degree black belt, was there to hold the boards that my boys had to break via front kick as part of their testing requirements. Neither son has done this before now. He and I were so thrilled for their accomplishment of kicking that board in two that we both teared up a bit (me more than him of course). This is why I do what I do. I want these special memories to be documented for my children. So one day, when I am not with them, they can look back and see how much pride they gave us and give us each day of their lives - no matter the occasion - I document it all! I do print my photos and put them in scrapbooks. I tell stories - I document our lives. I am a historian! The photo that I am holding is my husband (on the left), Master Dewitt (the same instructor my boys are learning with), and their uncle Matt (on the right). The only thing that photo is missing is their grandpa who also went through the same training. Master Dewitt gave me this photo, among others, and I have the intention of making albums for each son during this adventure they have chosen. Day Three Hundred Nine: Thankful For Relationships | Family | Associations | Friends
When your hubby leaves for a long weekend up at deer camp, you spend the night before (3 hours straight) cooking and preparing yummy treats and requested meals to share. Then, on the morning he does leave, you take some extra time to actively say goodbye - like pushing him in the truck to get extra kisses after making sure he is all packed and has everything he needs. I am so thankful for the man I married. He is truly MY BEST FRIEND! Day Three Hundred Eight:
Thankful For A Favorite Place | Path | Nature | Comfort There is no place like home. The ultimate place for comfort. And our home is pleasantly located in plenty of nature. I pray that no matter where our home is located, my babies will always find the path back home. How can't this be a favorite place when I have a sweet pet welcoming me home all the time! Day Three Hundred Seven: Thankful For The View | Landscape | Scenery | Sight
I am thankful for the beautiful scenery that I am blessed to have around me... Even though the trees have lost their foliage for another year - I still see so much beauty! These gorgeous, crisp mornings are nice to get out in even for just a moment. Day Three Hundred Six: Thankful For Pets | Animal | Sidekick | Critter
It's no surprise she would be my focus today... My very best friend - the one I rely on for SO much! She is always close. Not sure how much time I will have with her so I make sure to allow her to stay as close as she wants so I can have as much time as possible with my sidekick. I am so thankful for the years I have had with her and I am hoping for many more. Who else can I rely on to try out my cooking before subjecting my other babies to it! (My Hubby does say that I'm a good cook - giggle). |

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
