I first photographed this beauty back in 2014 when her family asked me to come and get their whole group. She is the second oldest of 4 munchkins and what's especially fun about this family, is that they ALL come to hang out when I have done their photos. In 2019, I did her older brother's photos, and they all came to hang out then too. It's a nice bonus for me to visit and learn more about such a wonderful family!

I have been asked to capture the first annual Clays to End Hunger event. The event is going to support the Lakeshore Conservation Club, the Outreach Program, and Mount Ski Gull. There are two events to compete in: trap and skeet and there are 4 categories: Female (18+), Senior (65+), Youth (17-), and overall best shooter. As a trap shooter myself, I know the challenge of this two-day competition and it's so awesome to see so many people here in support of an incredible organization (especially because it rained on us a bit both days). The friendships cultivated through sporting events like this are priceless and last a lifetime. I have met the most incredible and generous people these two days. Congratulations to all who competed and won!
I have a cousin who works at a local resort. She got a call to take a reservation for this family who was traveling from out of state. During that call, they asked if my cousin could recommend someone to take family photos while they were here. How lucky was I to be the cousin she recommended! This family was a joy to spend the morning with! Laughter and joy all around! I sure hope they enjoyed MN!
Taylen is such an angel! She made today so easy because she does so well in front of the camera. Once again, mom and dad have allowed me to capture this munchkin since birth, just like her big sister, and it's always just a huge blessing to see the four of them.
Doesn't my brother have the most beautiful family!?! I love these 4 so very much and would freeze for them any day to capture happy photos like these.
I have been blessed to capture this beautiful girl and her family every year since she was born. Each year that mom contacts me for a photo date, I get so excited. It's just so incredible to see how she is growing into such a beautiful young lady. And then to watch little sister following in her big sister’s footsteps... yeah, to say that I look forward to this every year is an understatement! An even bigger bonus is that mom makes sure to include herself and dad too!
This lovely lady is my neighbor. She is currently working on expanding her ministry - Michelle Oie Ministries. I am so blessed to know her. Check her out and see for yourself how incredible she is.
I met this lovely family back in 2019 when they hired me to capture their wedding. I also met their sweet baby boy Noah who is now one year old. Isn't he cute! But then when you have good looking parents like he does, it's obvious that he would be pretty handsome for sure!
This handsome young man is my nephew. Because of him, I have made great friends with his mom and her husband. Today, they invited me to meet with them to capture their adorable family along with their adorable new puppy, Kimber. Zaiden, I love you buddy and I am so glad you were born into our family - it means I get blessed even more to have your mom and her family in my life too.
Malachi is an incredible young man! I am blessed to know him through Tae Kwon Do. I was especially excited when he played along with a crazy idea I had to make him his own twin ~ one has his trumpet-playing self and the other in his dobok. Can't wait to see him continue to succeed in life.
I had the great pleasure of meeting this family tonight to capture their beautiful baby girl. Such a blessing she is!
Sara and I were doing our best to remember the last time we saw each other. This is sad because Sara is my hubby’s 2nd cousin and that just means that we haven’t had an extended family get together in FAR too long. I am especially grateful to have this passion of mine that allows me to get together with family when so much time has passed. Sara was such a kind new mommy and let me have lots of cuddles with Kaidence ~ our 3rd cousin! Oh what a blessing it is to hold a baby! So, yes, welcome to the family Kaidence ~ you are SO LOVED!
This is my bosses daughter! And like my title says ~ isn’t she lovely?! Not only am I blessed to have a great boss for my regular day job ~ but I have a great friend who supports my outside passions as well and I am so lucky. Jessica was a doll to work with tonight. She is such a quiet and reserved young woman and just as equally kind and considerate. She made this afternoon fun ~ especially when I saw a feisty side to her when she was dealing with a bit of stubbornness with her horse.
Elizabeth wanted to take advantage of the beautiful fall colors and weather we have been having this fall. Unfortunately, there has been some pretty heavy rainfall and a lot of the colors have gone way to fast. Still, as usual, they made it easy with their bright smiles and happy boys! Declan kept me busy with his many ideas for photos and Nolan was only willing to smile at me if mom or dad were behind me being goofy. Oh how I enjoy visiting with this family! It’s amazing to see how big Nolan is and I just saw him in January. Of course, I know all too well how quickly it all goes by as a parent myself... hold on tight ~ it’s gone in the blink of an eye!
Six years ago I met Britteny for the first time when her (soon to be) mother-in-law asked me to take some engagement photos for Britteny and her son, Dylan. I have known Dylan’s family since 1995 (give or take some years) and there is a lot of history there. It started at church for many years and now, most recently, I have worked with Dylan’s mom for the last 11 years! There are no words to express my excitement when Dylan contacted me asking if I was available to take some photos of his growing family. Let’s just say I would have dropped everything to make it work. I enjoyed this afternoon greatly just visiting and laughing with this lovely couple. We deliberately recreated some of their engagement photos from 2014 which made this photo shoot ever better! It was hard to choose my favorites! I can’t wait to meet Sampson! Remember to keep laughing you two ~ I promise it will help greatly as you embark on this parenting adventure! (Sampson arrived 10/10/2020)!
Allison happens to be the younger sister to Lauren and I just happened to do Lauren’s grad photos back in August of 2018. I was thrilled when her mom (who I consider to be a wonderful friend) contacted me to do Alli’s grad photos too! Alli is just as pretty as her big sis and we had so much fun this afternoon! The venue of choice gave us countless background options to highlight this young woman but that didn’t matter much because she radiates all on her own. Her confidence and faith will take her far in life and I am blessed to know her whole family!
I met this gorgeous girl in a very roundabout way but we actually have quite a few mutual people in our lives. Like one of her great friends just happens to be my next door neighbor and I also work with her mom. I knew this girl would be stunning because she has a stunning mom! Not only is she pretty on the outside she is just as pretty inside too and has the sweetest personality. Such a natural with the camera ~ she made my job SO easy and was willing to play along with a crazy ~ and wet ~ idea at the end of the shoot. Thank you for spending the evening with me!
I met this little bundle of joy’s dad back in 2016 when my babies started Tae Kwon Do. It’s amazing to think I have known him for 4 years and now I get to meet his sweet son too! Oliver, you are such a blessing and I am so grateful that your mom and dad asked me to come meet you! Oh those baby snuggles were much needed!
I first met this family back in 2018. Wendy has called me a few times to capture her kids and now, today, she asked me to come capture her whole family since they were all together. What a fun afternoon!
This wasn’t the plan... this isn’t what the bride envisioned for her day. And yet, the day was incredibly beautiful and intimate and perfect! The (bigger) party will just take place next year at this same venue on their one year anniversary when they will get to invite ALL of their friends and family to celebrate instead of just a few. My heart was broken for them ~ until I witnessed it all. April had the most radiant smile all day long and she planned everything beautifully. It was a day to remember and I loved their sense of humor (pulling out the masks and toilet paper ~ which I never imagined I would take photos of during a wedding)! Their venue was lovely and I loved the wine ceremony they did! Congratulations to you two! A marriage of two which makes a family of 4 with those two sweet munchkins! May your life together be blessed beyond measure!
Taylen brought mom, dad, and big sis Kenley to the park for her photos today! I was so excited to see them ~ not only because I love this family, but because it’s the first photo session I have been able to do since January because of all the pandemic stuff. Oh how I’ve missed being behind my camera capturing happy families like this! Taylen ~ you made my whole spring with your sweetness!
Little Nolan has arrived! Big brother Declan is so in love! Thank you for sharing him with me Jake and Elizabeth! I can’t wait to watch these brothers grow together.
Kenley & Taylen! Oh these girls have been such a bright spot in my life! I absolutely love being able to see them a couple times a year and watch them grow! Kenley is already FOUR years old and I have been blessed enough to capture her birthdays since she was born! Taylen too!!! This was the first year that we didn’t have snow for Kenley’s photos and it was a nice change to play in the leaves. Both of these little beauties made my job so easy. Such pretty girls!
My hubby has known Geoff for over 20 years! Then I was lucky enough to be welcomed into the fold and met both Geoff and Missy the year they got married in 2002. I can’t tell you how much they all mean to me! Gregory and Glenn were born 2 years and 4 days before our twins were born so we share that special life walk as well. Oh the stories we have from all these years of friendship! They just came for a weekend visit and we finished up with a photo shoot.
Kristin & Scott, their two handsome boys and beautiful daughter made taking photos in the beautiful Autumn colors a breeze! (It was quite windy but that didn’t make anyone too unhappy while we snapped some family memories today).
