Just last year, this handsome young man's big sister graduated, and I was blessed to capture those beautiful memories too. Mom and dad have been busy the last two years with back-to-back graduates but that just means they get to enjoy what the next chapter brings - for all of them.

I first met these two handsome young men back in 2005 when they were just 2 days old. Our very dear, close friends blessed us all when they arrived. And now, I'm taking their graduation photos! Oh, where does the time go?? I truly love these boys like my own and I am so proud of the amazing young men they are becoming. They will go far in this life - there's no doubt in my mind about that! I'm feeling quite nostalgic about this session and just had to get a photo to match the very first day I met them...
Faith's mom - a wonderful woman who is such a special person in my life - contacted me after quite some time got in between us seeing each other. I was so excited to hear from her and we were able to spend this afternoon together enjoying the beautiful weather and the opportunity to catch up on exciting things that have been happening with our families. Then, as if it weren’t perfect enough just for those reasons above, I was able to get to know this beautiful girl some more and enjoyed hearing about her plans for the future. She's going to go far!
I know this young woman because her uncle and I have been friends for 20+ years! Isn't she lovely!? It was just her and I today as we explored the arboretum, and she gave me the most wonderful tour of the gardens. One of which, her grandma so lovingly takes care of and manages. She loves books and is such a personable young lady and kindness radiates from her! I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends in my life when it affords me the opportunity to get to know their families in this way.
My most wonderful boss ever hired me back in September 2020 when I did this handsome guy's older sister's grad photos. I couldn't say no to hanging out with my boss and meeting another of her lovely children again, so we spent this afternoon at a local park with the most beautiful areas to capture these great photos! He made it so easy!
I got to do something I've never done before! Justine is a swimmer and she wanted to highlight that a bit for her grad photos. So, I prepared what I needed to get into the pool and keep my equipment safe and I was able to capture some pretty neat photos for her. Before the pool though, we had a wonderful time hiking through a beautiful park where this girl has a natural ability to just look stunning in every photo I took.
Spencer was so easy to work with today. He gave me a ton to work with and we were able to use so many beautiful backgrounds and props that he had available. Mom and his cousin joined us which was very nice. Such a beautiful day too! Couldn't have been better.
I first photographed this beauty back in 2014 when her family asked me to come and get their whole group. She is the second oldest of 4 munchkins and what's especially fun about this family, is that they ALL come to hang out when I have done their photos. In 2019, I did her older brother's photos, and they all came to hang out then too. It's a nice bonus for me to visit and learn more about such a wonderful family!
Malachi is an incredible young man! I am blessed to know him through Tae Kwon Do. I was especially excited when he played along with a crazy idea I had to make him his own twin ~ one has his trumpet-playing self and the other in his dobok. Can't wait to see him continue to succeed in life.
This is my bosses daughter! And like my title says ~ isn’t she lovely?! Not only am I blessed to have a great boss for my regular day job ~ but I have a great friend who supports my outside passions as well and I am so lucky. Jessica was a doll to work with tonight. She is such a quiet and reserved young woman and just as equally kind and considerate. She made this afternoon fun ~ especially when I saw a feisty side to her when she was dealing with a bit of stubbornness with her horse.
Allison happens to be the younger sister to Lauren and I just happened to do Lauren’s grad photos back in August of 2018. I was thrilled when her mom (who I consider to be a wonderful friend) contacted me to do Alli’s grad photos too! Alli is just as pretty as her big sis and we had so much fun this afternoon! The venue of choice gave us countless background options to highlight this young woman but that didn’t matter much because she radiates all on her own. Her confidence and faith will take her far in life and I am blessed to know her whole family!
I met this gorgeous girl in a very roundabout way but we actually have quite a few mutual people in our lives. Like one of her great friends just happens to be my next door neighbor and I also work with her mom. I knew this girl would be stunning because she has a stunning mom! Not only is she pretty on the outside she is just as pretty inside too and has the sweetest personality. Such a natural with the camera ~ she made my job SO easy and was willing to play along with a crazy ~ and wet ~ idea at the end of the shoot. Thank you for spending the evening with me!
NINE years I have known this beautiful young lady! We have been neighbors for all these years and my kids absolutely adore her! She babysat for us and we are so grateful for the kindness and love she has showered on our babies throughout the years. My daughter still asks to "go to Rachael's" to play. I have to remind her that Rachael is busy with school, friends, and work so play time is harder for her now that she's older. Such is life! We are so lucky to see how life has blessed Rachael and we can't wait to see where she goes from here and after graduation. Thank you, Rachael, for being such a big part of our lives! You are unbelievably stunning - inside and out! The mom of this handsome young man and I go way back because we graduated from the same high school. We have some years between us but we were happy to discover that we chose the same school for our own children to attend. Her 3rd baby and my boys are actually in the same grade! Anyway, back in September of 2014 I was invited to their home to capture photos of this family of 6 and it was so much fun! I was thrilled when mom reached out again to capture these for her oldest who is set to graduate next spring. It's amazing how quickly these years have gone by and it was so awesome to see this young man again. Isn't he handsome!?!? I first met little Emma back in 2013 when her mom trusted this newbie/self-taught photographer to capture some family photos. We got together again in 2014 for some more family moments and that was actually the last time I saw Emma. But I did get to meet with Emma's mom and big brother again in 2016 when her brother needed me to capture HIS graduation photos. Now, it's Emma's turn!
We had the best evening! We shared life stories, current events, and future plans (both Emma and her mom have some amazing things happening in their lives right now). Emma made this so easy for me. I am so glad we got together all these years later - she has grown into such a beautiful young woman who I am so extremely blessed to know! My beautiful little niece who was my flower girl at my wedding, who could sing Kid Rock word for word at age 3, who has grown into an incredible young woman will be graduating after this school year is done. It's hard to believe how quick it all goes. Oh Allie, you are so loved and you will go so far in this life. (Man did we freeze to get these)! On the 5th I met this lovely young lady who told me about her boyfriend. This is her boyfriend. I haven't seen them together but, separate, they are awesome so I bet they are incredible together for sure. This young man just wasn't able to get some photos done before now and the deadline at school is near so we got together this afternoon to be sure that he had some options to chose from for the yearbook. We got it in no problem. A friend of mine from church hired me to do her son's graduation photos back in August. She loved her photos so much that she told me that she had a friend who was looking to have her daughter's photos taken and my friend referred me to her. What a compliment that is! So, I was able to chat with this beauty's mom and we planned on getting together after school today (in the bit of rainy weather) to get some photos. She is an extremely talented young woman. I am so happy I got to meet her! Ashley had me follow her out to her grandfather's home to start her photo session. We enjoyed walking the grounds and getting to know each other. After, she asked me to go to her house to get some more photos and I was happy to oblige. It's been so great meeting all these lovely young people. They all have so much going for them! Lauren had the best ideas for her grad session! She loves her sweet dog, Minnie, and we had fun walking around with her. The other super fun part of spending the time with Lauren, was that I got to spend time with her mom and dad too. Getting to know this family has been such a blessing. I am looking forward to a continuing friendship with them all. It's especially nice because they have starting to come to our church. The youngest of 4 girls... I have had the immense privilege of photographing all 4 of them for this huge accomplishment of graduation. It does help, of course, that they are my cousins. :) Lucky me! Casey, you are going to do great things with your life. I was able to capture grad photos of this beautiful girl the same time I did Casey's because Natalie and Casey have been best friends for most of their young lives. It was so much fun to hang out with these girls and learn about their goals in life. Natalie, you are also going to do great things with your life! Keep smiling! I have had the privilege of being this young man's neighbor for eight years. We have so enjoyed getting to know his entire family and are so blessed to have neighbors like them. I remember him running around as a little guy playing with his friends in the yard with their plastic guns. I am thrilled that they asked me to capture this special event for their oldest child who will graduate next spring. Ben, keep working hard and you will succeed! I can't wait to see where life takes you! This handsome young man is so smart! He is currently going to be attending post-secondary for the second year in a row. So when he graduates high school next spring, he will also have two years of college under his belt! Like I said, such a smart guy! Not only that but he is extremely close to receiving the Eagle Scout honor with the Boy Scouts of America program. WOW!! Cameron, you have the world ahead of you and I pray that God brings you far in this life. I have a feeling you will be blessed with all of your adventures! Thank you for letting me share this milestone with you! |
