Back in April 2016 the proposal happened like this: The Groom brought his future Bride to the movie Beauty and the Beast at a dinner theater and then afterwards, took her to their favorite pier where he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes! Fast forward to today, June 3, 2017 ~ This is all about them: When I arrived at the residence where the bridal party was getting ready, I started with the guys and what a great group they are! The Groom is from Indiana and three of his groomsmen traveled up here for this big day. Next I got to spend time with the ladies! Mom and big sister were getting the bride ready for her day and I loved watching them together. Mom assisted her last baby get ready for her wedding and there was a lot of emotion in that room after she finished getting her buttoned up. I thought it was neat that the bridesmaids never saw the bride's dress! When she came out and showed her girls how stunning she is it resulted in even more emotion and tears of JOY! There were a lot of happy tears today! Look at these two! Such a beautiful bride and such a handsome groom! The groom insisted on NOT seeing his bride until she walked toward him down the aisle but we did squeeze in this fun shot of the whole bridal party before we traveled to the venue. Once we arrived at the venue we did a lot of photos of the families with the bride and groom separate. These are the last photos they will have with their family before they became Mr. and Mrs. The Bride is the youngest of 6 and she is the last one to wed. Her Mom and Dad will officially give away their last baby to the love of her life and now they get to sit back and just continue to watch their family grow. The Groom is the oldest of three in his family and the first to get married before his younger sisters. The couple exchanged their vows overlooking Lake Pepin in Lake City, MN. With the stunning backdrop taken care of by God's handiwork, this couple didn't need to do anything to add to it as far as decoration. With the addition of who they are as a couple and the wonderful family and friends that surrounded them today - it brought this wedding to a level of absolute perfection! After the ceremony we spent some more time taking family photos with the new Mr. and Mrs. Each family grew by one today and you could just feel how elated everyone was about that fact! After the family photos, the bridal party traveled to the pier where the proposal happened and we captured this happy group at another beautiful location. We also took some at the venue as well. The bridal party traveled back to the venue and the bride and groom spent some intimate moments as husband and wife. I loved this time with them. They really focused on each other today. The way a wedding should be! The reception was such an elegant affair! With a delicious meal served, happy guests visiting, plenty of glass clinking to prompt the bride and groom to kiss, heartfelt speeches from the maid-of-honor and best man, everything was absolutely wonderful. The happy couple cut me loose just after the meal was done and speeches were given. (I had a 3.5 hour drive). It was such a lovely day and I am so glad I was there to share it with them. I know I shared a LOT of photos but there were just too many memories that I wanted to share from this beautiful day. I am lucky because this beautiful bride's big sister is one of my very best friends. She and I have been in each other's life for about 17 years. Big sis let little sis know of my love of photography so she looked at some past events I have done and she decided to trust me with the most important day of her life. I am so grateful! Being able to spend the day with my best friend's family and see the joy of such a happy occasion - well, there are just no words to the excitement I felt!
I am so happy for you both and I pray that your life together is a long and happy one! Congratulations!
