Day Thirty-Four: Coarse | Contrast | Bumpy
I haven't really gotten on the bandwagon of photographing food. It's just not something that has ever called to me. I do see the appeal though - the subject doesn't move unless you make it and there are so many different and creative ways to capture it. Last November, I spent the time to make my first batch of freezer crock-pot meals. That one day I made 25 meals. Those stretched through 3 months. I loved how easy it was to grab one out of the freezer, thaw it overnight, put it in the pot and just leave. Made my nights SO easy. That's the plan today - grabbed one of the new bags that I just prepared last Thursday and in the pot it goes. Wednesdays are the days where we are only home together for about an hour (from 5-6PM) between school, basketball, and then Awanas so I never have much time for my POTD. It's nice when the kids are busy eating breakfast and I can take a few minutes to post my images. (this is a chicken teriyaki meal that my family LOVES - it sure doesn't look too appealing this morning)...

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
