Day Sixty-Four: Celebrate
My son, Gavin, was student of the month for February. They had a little ceremony at school today in honor of all of the munchkins that were chosen by each teacher for this honor. We are so proud of him and this huge accomplishment. His teacher had this to say: "I have a classroom full of respectful and responsible kids as well, so when I was trying to figure out who I was going to select there were a couple of things that stood out. I have one young man who every morning when I say, "good morning" to him - he says, "Good morning!" to me and he also says, "How are you today Mrs. Hall?" So that's pretty cool. And as I was watching as we walked in here to be sat down this student always knows his job and I was watching him and he sat there quietly waiting for Mrs. Bell to get everybody's attention because he knew that that was his job. Gavin Badger." PROUD OF OUR LITTLE MAN!!! (Another note about how proud we are of our munchkins - we realized that two years ago, Blake was the student of the month for February as well when they were in first grade). Here his classmates are cheering him on as he was called to the front to get his certificate and a small reward.

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
