Day 115/365: "The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life." - Robert Louis Stevenson
At last, I see some new growth in my flower bed... I was surprised by this beautiful and bright sprout today after raking out my flower bed. To be honest, I'm not even sure what these are. This makes me even more surprised! I can't wait to see what this becomes. It was a nice find today after the backbreaking work that my husband and I were doing - cleaning up the yard. We live on a street called Pine Tree Lane and that is exactly what it is... We have LOTS of pine trees and the worst part about that is raking up the pine needles that shed all winter long. This is a chore that we do together every Spring and I do enjoy the time with my husband but it sure is hard work! But, like the quote says, "...the daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life."
