Day 233/365: Bodies of water has always had such a calming effect on me. I am a person who always has to be in it, even if it's just my feet. That's exactly what I did with this photo. I was cooling off in the creek, barefoot with my tripod, working on some long exposure images (per a suggestion from my brother). I think it paid off. I got a nice image out of some alone time for mommy!

Day 232/365: A family of 5 making 5 number 5's! This was a lot of fun just to sit with all the Legos dumped all around us creating something out of the norm. We usually only build cars and such!
Day 229/365: Playing the game Pictureka on the floor with my family after all our company left. This was a great way to end our weekend!
Day 225/365: We do not have a garden of our own but there is nothing better than taking a walk and finding the joys in God's garden that He leaves for us to enjoy! My family and I can sit for hours at a raspberry patch and pick, and pick, and pick to our hearts content. What a wonderful treat!
Day 224/365: I snapped this photo while waiting at the pharmacy for my strep throat medication. There was a huge display of old drugs/medications. It was so cool to look at! There are things in there such as Aminol (Tylenol), Thenylhist (used for coughs), Chloro-calcium, Syrup Sarsaparilla (used for treatment of skin diseases), Blaud's Nux Vomica and Cascara, Pulv. Verat.V. (treatment of erysipelas which we know as strep), and something called Pascarnata (whose description is this: "will not relieve acute or severe pain. In every other particular it is perfectly safe and generally reliable substitute for opium, chloral, bromides and coalter synthetics, whose depressing and vitative effects are well know..."). There were many other interesting medications It has been interesting thinking about the resiliency of medication as it has progressed throughout the ages. I enjoyed the research that came with this one image. The neat old bottles holding all these old fixes were really neat to read and learn about. |

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
