Day 149/365: To my children: I won't always be there to stop you from falling. I won't always be there to prevent a hurt... I can only pray that I am close enough to kiss away the tears and make the pain a little less intense by trying to make you giggle. You will fall in life, and sometimes the falls will hurt more than others. But what's important is that you find a way to get back up, shake it off, and remember to giggle. I will do my best to keep you safe in life by teaching you what's important and by trying to show you how to avoid the ruts and crannies that may make you trip and fall. (This accident happened yesterday. My poor girl had a spider on her and at this point in her life - that was enough to make her panic and so she fell and scrapped her knee. This photo was taken this morning as we changed her bandage. I was there yesterday when she fell. I wasn't close enough to catch her, but I did kiss away the tears and helped her feel better by reciting the poem Little Miss Muffet - which made her giggle).

I have taken on a challenge to take one photo a day for this entire year. I have been excited to join up with an amazing community of talented photographers who have also taken on this challenge. The goals I have for myself this year is to, first of all, complete the whole year of 365 photos. I also want to allow this challenge to teach me all I can about the equipment I have in order to better myself as a photographer. I am excited to learn and experience so much this year through this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to look through my journey. It truly means a lot to me. Archives
