Ashley had me follow her out to her grandfather's home to start her photo session. We enjoyed walking the grounds and getting to know each other. After, she asked me to go to her house to get some more photos and I was happy to oblige. It's been so great meeting all these lovely young people. They all have so much going for them!

Lauren had the best ideas for her grad session! She loves her sweet dog, Minnie, and we had fun walking around with her. The other super fun part of spending the time with Lauren, was that I got to spend time with her mom and dad too. Getting to know this family has been such a blessing. I am looking forward to a continuing friendship with them all. It's especially nice because they have starting to come to our church. Oh how these girls made my whole day! I took this day off from work to drive to Bemidji to spend the early afternoon with these beautiful one year old girls. Guess what? I get to call these girls cousins too! :) This pair is the second pair of twins in our family on my husband's father's side after my boys came. It's so much fun to have this taste of baby times two again. Twins are such a blessing! The youngest of 4 girls... I have had the immense privilege of photographing all 4 of them for this huge accomplishment of graduation. It does help, of course, that they are my cousins. :) Lucky me! Casey, you are going to do great things with your life. I was able to capture grad photos of this beautiful girl the same time I did Casey's because Natalie and Casey have been best friends for most of their young lives. It was so much fun to hang out with these girls and learn about their goals in life. Natalie, you are also going to do great things with your life! Keep smiling! Jesse and Devyn have the most amazing story. They met at her parent’s church when Jesse was there with the Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge clients singing and sharing their testimonies. The congregation was asked to pick out a few faces and pray for those specific guys. Jesse was one of the young men that Devyn was compelled to pray for. After the service Devyn and her mom introduced themselves to him and told him that they were going to pray for him. She prayed for him until he graduated from MNTC 4 months after they met. They started dating shortly after that! Fast forward to today and they are finally becoming husband and wife! The details of their wedding were gorgeous! I am so blessed to have been included in such a special day. This is some of the excitement that went on early in the day. I have had the privilege of being this young man's neighbor for eight years. We have so enjoyed getting to know his entire family and are so blessed to have neighbors like them. I remember him running around as a little guy playing with his friends in the yard with their plastic guns. I am thrilled that they asked me to capture this special event for their oldest child who will graduate next spring. Ben, keep working hard and you will succeed! I can't wait to see where life takes you! This handsome young man is so smart! He is currently going to be attending post-secondary for the second year in a row. So when he graduates high school next spring, he will also have two years of college under his belt! Like I said, such a smart guy! Not only that but he is extremely close to receiving the Eagle Scout honor with the Boy Scouts of America program. WOW!! Cameron, you have the world ahead of you and I pray that God brings you far in this life. I have a feeling you will be blessed with all of your adventures! Thank you for letting me share this milestone with you! It was such a perfect Sunday afternoon to meet at my aunt and uncles house (their grandma and grandpas house) for photos with their new puppy Fred. Puppy Fred is almost as cute as these three super sweet babies. I love spending time with them. I have been blessed to photograph my cousins baby girl, Kenley, since birth. Now, I have been blessed again to capture baby girl #2, Taylen! We are all so glad you are here and Kenley is going to be such a great big sister to you! I was contacted by a very kind young man hoping I would be available to take prom photos of him, his date, and two more couples. I was thrilled to tell him that I was available and completely willing to take these photos! These couples were extremely fun to hang out with. I hope you all have a wonderful time at PROM and thank you all for letting me capture these special memories for you! I met this wonderful family through the Tae Kwon Do school that we attend. Mom of this beautiful baby practiced TKD well into her pregnancy and after having her, came back to train just days after. She is such an inspiration! And she sure gave birth to another beautiful baby girl! Five beautiful babies - SO BLESSED! Last year on New Year's Eve, this wonderful family had me out to their house to capture their entire family together. This year, just a day shy of New Year's Eve, they had me out again. I do believe a tradition has started. Perhaps they will have me out next year too! Either way, we always have so much fun and I do love hearing their fun Christmas stories and especially love to hear what the kids favorite part of the holidays are.
This day is really about little Kenley but I am so thrilled that they are expecting one more! AHH! So excited for this sweet little family and so happy that Kenley will be a big sister! But for now, she is TWO years old already and I have loved watching her grow! Isn't she the cutest little thing!?
This beautiful lady is our cousin. She has recently met this handsome young man and his little girl and they are starting a very special relationship together. When she contacted me to capture photos of just her and that sweet little girl as a surprise for her dad, I was very excited to do so. Then when he came too, I couldn't resist having him join them for a few photos too. Aren't they a gorgeous little family? Maybe someday, I'll be photographing their wedding! Wouldn't she make the most adorable little flower girl? But no pressure guys - really NO pressure! LOL
This family is just amazing and I have loved becoming friends with this lovely mom! Her oldest and my youngest have been in dance together for a couple of years now and that means that once a week, we get to relax and visit and have really gotten to know each other. I enjoy our visits so much that I hate when dance comes to an end. We usually try to get together a few times during the summer months though!
My sister-in-law has a very large family. She and my brother have been together for over 17 years and with that kind of history, I have been lucky to get to know some of her family members as well. She is one of NINE kids. :) A fun fact about that is that all 9 siblings have names that start with the letter "J." The youngest sibling got married today and asked ME to capture her special occasion. Of course, I couldn't say no! I have known this beautiful bride for all these years so to be able to capture the start of her new life with her hubby - how could I refuse? She planned such a beautiful day. Another special piece to this day is that my brother brought his camera and acted as a second shooter for me. That allowed her to get even more special memories captured from her own brother-in-law too.
Early on in my photography journey I was contacted by a wonderful lady who asked me to photograph her two girls. We became friends. She and her hubby added a baby boy to their family and she still has me capture her happy family. I love these times with her. I get to see her crazy sweet kids and we get to visit and catch up on our lives and how we have been. It's a win-win!
These two are my second cousins. They are both adopted into our family and man do we love them so much! So glad they are family. They are so much fun to play with and I am so spoiled to be the one to take these photos.
I met this wonderful lady at her place of business quite some time ago. We discovered, after she found out my last name, that her husband worked with my father-in-law. She retired from her job a few years ago and still, she decided to seek me out to capture these happy memories of her with her family. I was thrilled to hear from her. She has the sweetest family! It was such a beautiful day to spend by the water. I met this beautiful bride when I took my cousin's wedding photos last year. She was in the bridal party for my cousin and now my cousin is in this wedding too. They have such a great friendship and I am so honored that they both trusted me to capture one of the most significant days in their lives. Today was a PERFECT day for an outdoor wedding. The temperature was great and the sun was shining... It was just perfect. They had the most beautiful spot to get ready - a resort on Upper Red Lake. Luke proposed while they were fishing on that lake. It was a special spot for sure. I started by going back and forth between the cabins where the girls were getting ready and then to the cabin where the guys were getting ready. I always love standing back and hearing the happy conversations that take place during this time. I am so lucky to have a day off each week. Today was a perfect opportunity to travel 1.5 hours to my best friend's house to meet her new little girl after sending my three babies off to school. I am almost two weeks behind in meeting her so this was especially special. Of course, I had to take my camera and capture this little beauties newness. She is PRECIOUS!! I am only sorry that I couldn't stay longer and love her up more! Back in April 2016 the proposal happened like this: The Groom brought his future Bride to the movie Beauty and the Beast at a dinner theater and then afterwards, took her to their favorite pier where he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes! Fast forward to today, June 3, 2017 ~ This is all about them:
Jaxson is finally an official Gardner! He is the third to be adopted by my wonderful cousins who adopted Haydien and Arrionna too. Jaxson is completing their family and I couldn't be more happy for them all! Here are Jaxson's one year photos I took on 8/8/2016 that I couldn't share until now. Oh how I love this little guy! I would ask him to do something and he would say "no thanks." That made his mom and I giggle but did prove to be difficult to get him to look at me for a couple of seconds to get a good shot. I found that just letting him run around in the falling snow was opportunity enough to capture some happy photos of this beautiful little boy.
