59/365 ~ Furry Faces | Whiskered | Shaggy | Bristly
Pulling this old girl out to capture some nice photos in the beautifully falling snow was my plan...
Being surprised by this old girl's unexpected burst of energy where she ran around, laid down in the snow, and had so much fun rubbing her nose and face in the snow was not what I planned but was so worth seeing! She had so much fun and I was laughing so hard watching her play.
57/365 ~ With Words | Quote | Expression | Journal
We are creating a habit of capturing a group shot of our families when we get together each time. We only live 94 miles away from each other and yet we only get together about 3-4 times a year. Life is just so very busy! I am looking forward to 30 years down the road and seeing new faces as our babies create families of their own. We will continue the tradition of our visits together for sure!
55/365 ~ It's Complete | Finally Finished | We Can Relax | What Else Can I Plan
Our hard work has paid off and we are done! Everything feels so fresh and clean and new. We are both very happy with our hard work and now we can just enjoy it. We have great friends coming for the weekend so it's going to be nice to just enjoy some down time! We also installed 3 new bedroom doors and a new bathroom door today. The old ones were hollow and in pretty bad shape so we upgraded them to solid, 6 panel doors that look amazing!
54/365 ~ Outside | Nature | Alive | Imperfect
Sometimes God puts you in the best place and the best time! Do you see the deer by the tree? You can make out their legs best. There were 4 happy deer trotting way too close to the street so I am glad I startled them away when I scrambled for my phone to take a picture. I learn every day that even if I happen to have a great opportunity for a great photo, I may only have my cell. That was the case today so I decided to dress it up a bit. I really like this effect!
51/365 ~ A Portrait | Posed | Planned | Personality
My daughter would live in the bathtub if I let her! Today, as a day off from school, she is allowed to soak to her heart's content. I knew this would be a good opportunity to capture my little girl doing something she loves. I love the little freckles that dust her nose and cheeks. I call her my "Little Bit" because she is just a little bit like her mommy... She is my mini me. :)
This is my THIRD challenge! I completed an entire 365 in 2014 - then in 2015, I tried to do something different and failed miserably so I was excited to take the challenge back on for 2016 and I successfully completed last year too! I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I enjoy this challenge very much and I am looking forward to seeing what 2017 brings! You can view my past projects by clicking the links below for each year.
