Day Fifteen: Pride&Joy is what my husband felt today when my boys received their first compound bows (an early birthday present - daddy couldn't wait to give them these)! My son, Blake, was so happy, he looked at his bow, set it down and walked away. He was trying to hide his tears - he was so blown away. Then, before dinner during our prayers, Blake was only able to say, "Lord, thank you for my bow... I can't finish..." Tears came again. When daddy was asked to say his prayers - daddy couldn't either - he was bursting with Pride&Joy that his son was showing as much excitement and gratitude for this new gift as daddy was hoping he would. Gavin is the sort of boy who jumps up and down when he is happy about a new present and that was how he showed us his excitement. This is not the photo that was I hoping to get but this was a late photo and I just didn't take enough time to capture much better than this. This was my real life today.

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
