Day One Hundred Forty: One | Single | Unique | On the Third
Do you see him? That little yellow spider!?! He's right there - on the third! I was lucky to spend the day with my boys as they went on their end-of-year field trip to Itasca State Park. Itasca Lake is where the Mississippi River begins. It was a two hour ride there but we got to enjoy seeing the head waters and spending time in the visitor center and also got to hear all about beavers from one of the DNR who did a presentation. My husband and I brought our kids there two summers ago but both of the boys said they didn't remember us going there. EEK! At least I have that trip captured in photos to prove to them that we did make that trip. It makes me giggle. This funky little spider was found by my son's classmate (Matthew) who kept coming up to me and would ask me to take a picture of this thing or that thing. It was fun to see what caught his eye. This was one of his finds. I have never seen this yellow spider before! (OH!! And on our way out of the park, we saw a momma bear and her two cubs. THAT WAS FANTASTIC)!!!

This is the second time I have taken on this challenge. I completed a 365 in 2014 - took 2015 off and decided that this year I wanted to do another challenge. I am part of an amazing group of talented photographers who post an image from an interpretation of a prompt that we receive every day in our e-mail. It's so neat to see how differently a person perceives a simple word or concept and how they translate that into a photograph. I am kicking myself that I didn't do a challenge in 2015 so this is me getting back into doing something I enjoy so very much! Archives
